A network of X accounts is “artificially” amplifying misinformation about Canada’s economy and leadership, according to a report shared with The Logic from digital threat research group Reset Tech.

A coordinated campaign from these accounts spread false stories about businesses decamping for the U.S. as a result of Canada’s alleged economic decline, as well as Canadian support for Donald Trump’s goal to annex the country. The network, which is made up of 73 accounts and “likely hundreds more,” shares material from U.S. right wing sites, as well as Toronto-based Canada Free Press and Montreal-based Post Millennial.

China actively promoting Carney Liberal campaign: Election watchdog

OTTAWA — Canada’s election security watchdog has accused the Chinese government of promoting Liberal Leader Mark Carney in what it’s calling an “information operation” taking place on Chinese-language social media.

In a Monday morning press conference, Laurie-Anne Kempton, of the Privy Council Office, said the operation is currently being undertaken by Youli-Youmian — the most popular news site on the WeChat social media platform.

Doug Ford pledges $11B in relief for workers and businesses hit by Trump tariffs

Premier Doug Ford has unveiled $11 billion in tax deferment and rebate measures to offset damage caused by U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war.

“In the face of President Trump’s attacks on Ontario’s economy, our government will do whatever it takes to protect Ontario workers and businesses,” Ford said in a statement Monday.

“Today’s measures will help give workers and businesses the support they need in the face of growing economic uncertainty,” the premier said.

Why are younger Canadians more susceptible to Trump and the lure of the 51st state?

What started as a joke is no laughing matter now. U.S. President Donald Trump’s on-again, off-again threats to impose tariffs on Canadian exports are more than a warning shot across the national bow. They also mask something far more ominous.

The “Make America Great Again” movement has been exposed as a bellicose and surreal new version of American imperialism. Tightening border controls on drugs and migrants may turn out to be little more than appeasement if his real agenda is continental economic dominance and making Canada the 51st state.

New vulnerabilities are surfacing. While most polls suggest the vast majority of Canadian adults are resolute in resisting any such takeover, the younger generation (18-35) is much more inclined – given certain favourable terms – to join the United States. The younger you are, the more likely you are to be susceptible to Trump and his appeals.

Can’t buy a home or rent one, cheap foreign labour cuts your wages, can’t see a doctor because our healthcare system is overwhelmed by a 3rd world migrant tidal wave.

Defiant Trump officials vow to stay course as countries scramble over tariffs

US President Donald Trump’s advisers have defended sweeping tariffs on imports and vowed to stay the course, despite market turmoil and calls to avoid a trade war.

In a series of television interviews, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent played down recent stock market falls and Howard Lutnick, the commerce secretary, insisted reciprocal tariffs would be implemented as planned.

Bessent said there was “no reason” to expect a recession as a result of the turmoil. “This is an adjustment process,” he said.

‘Liberation Day’—For Mexico

While most of the world was left shocked and dismayed by President Donald Trump’s tariff roll-out on “Liberation Day” earlier this week, at least one foreign government was quietly celebrating.

“This is great for the country,” Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum said the next day. Mexico and Canada, as part of the USMCA free trade agreement, avoided the imposition of any additional tariffs during Trump’s announcement Wednesday, while the average tariff rate on U.S. imports is set to skyrocket to 29 percent from just two percent previously.

The mosque’s Youth Collective, @ aycwindsor, and the youth collective’s women’s group, @ ayc_sisters, frequently post tributes on Instagram to the late Hizbullah secretary general Hassan Nasrallah, the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and the late IRGC Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani.

Another institution operated by the mosque is an educational institution known as Ahlul Bayt Islamic School, which is directly affiliated with the mosque’s leadership. The school’s extremist tendencies were clearly evident in a public statement issued jointly by mosque and the school condemning Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as a “Zionist” complicit in the killing of Gaza children and the destruction of Lebanon. It went on to declare unwavering support for “our honorable resistance” Hizbullah and Hamas and expressing pride in their cause.
