WARMINGTON: Mississauga mayor’s election race a neck-and-neck dead heat

WARMINGTON: Mississauga mayor’s election race a neck-and-neck dead heat

A new opinion poll shows the campaign to become the next mayor of Mississauga is a dead heat!

What a heavyweight horse race it is. Strong field. Unique set of circumstances.

You have the former mayor challenging the current mayor, who took over the job in a byelection when the previous mayor quit to pursue provincial politics but wants to come back now that she was unsuccessful there.

No Islamist candidate. I guess these two are sufficiently subversive.

Genital mutilation crisis hits multicultural Paris neighborhood, nearly 140,000 women affected across France

Genital mutilation crisis hits multicultural Paris neighborhood, nearly 140,000 women affected across France

France is facing a female genital mutilation (FGM) crisis brought on by mass immigration, warns Mathilda Silva of Collectif Némésis, and in those neighborhoods with the most diversity, the most women are facing the consequences of this brutal practice.

“This morning, I saw a graphic from an association that is absolutely revolting, in which it was written that 1 in 10 women in Seine-Saint-Denis is a victim of female genital mutilation. I don’t know if we realize this madness,” said Silva.

Ontario’s top court clears way for Toronto bike lane removal

Ontario’s top court has cleared the way for the province to remove bike lanes in Toronto, overturning a lower-court ruling that found the plan created an unconstitutional risk to cyclist safety.

The Ontario Court of Appeal’s ruling says there is no Charter right to bike lanes and the government is free to change or repeal policy choices made by previous governments, even if it goes against expert advice.

A little good news.

Every Democrat Should Be Asked: What About ‘Woke 1’ Was ‘Crazy’?

No one who lived through the past 10 years should allow Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to giggle away the hell called “woke” that she and Democrats inflicted on this country. It can’t possibly be that easy for them to move on from what they did just because they know it’s unpopular and it complicates things for their leaders wanting to run for president in 2028.

15-year-old Muslim boy reportedly takes 14-year-old European girl as a sex slave—with full consent of his parents?

15-year-old Muslim boy reportedly takes 14-year-old European girl as a sex slave—with full consent of his parents?

While the left continues to focus on a system of slavery that died more than 150 years ago, we’ve got their political allies enslaving underage girls for sex.

According to a new report at RAIR Foundation USA by Vlad Tepes, a 15-year-old Muslim boy living in Austria, the child of Iraqi refugees, took a 14-year-old non-Muslim girl as a sex slave, “forcing conversion, the hijab, and repeated rape while invoking Allah’s name to threaten death.” When she tried to “resist” him and leave? According to digital chat records published by a local paper, he swore, “By Allah, I will kill you” and “You whore, I will kill you.” While the boy denies any abuse and rape, law enforcement found visible blood splatter on a wall, which the girl alleges got there during the last rape. Is anyone shocked? I’m certainly not.

‘Woke’ Politics Is Weakening Canada’s National Security

‘Woke’ Politics Is Weakening Canada’s National Security

OTTAWA — Canada has developed a dangerous habit: when reality collides with the prevailing political narrative, we increasingly question the reality rather than the narrative.

Call it political correctness, progressive orthodoxy, institutional risk aversion or, in the language now commonly used, “woke” politics. Canada has created a culture in which governments and institutions are often more comfortable managing the language surrounding a problem than confronting the problem itself.

Both UK PMs Linked to Muslim Sex Grooming Gangs

Outgoing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had formerly headed the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) which had offered a pass to the Muslim sex grooming gangs who had trafficked and raped as many as 250,000 women and girls in the UK.

Starmer had initially refused to launch a national inquiry into the grooming gangs, claiming that they were merely a local matter, before finally giving in to political pressure.

Quitting Canada: Why I am moving to the United States

Quitting Canada: Why I am moving to the United States

Grainy videos hide more than they reveal. They smooth out the texture and contours of life in a single moment. We often look back on these relics as beautiful, simpler times.

But it’s hard to grasp what life felt like for the protagonists in the frame. The anxiety and excitement. The stack of bills collecting on the counter or the sick grandparents out of view. The optimism or dread of whether a child’s life will be more promising than a parent’s.

A good but long read.

A female Antifa rioter was exposed as a liar after claiming she had only grabbed on to another protester being arrested for support.

Catherine Esperanza, 30, was told her claims about grabbing onto the protester outside a Portland ICE facility in May were nonsense, The Oregonian reported.

Esperanza claimed to have suffered a broken leg and that she was trying to steady herself and that issues with her hearing meant she missed orders to back off.

FINLAYSON: Canada’s move away from fossil fuels remains greatly exaggerated

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has disrupted global markets for crude oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG), triggering worldwide price spikes and raising doubts about the reliability of the hydrocarbon-rich Middle East region as an energy supplier. These developments have also pushed up energy prices in Canada.

We’ll al be driving electric cars and living in homes heated by solar power!

Nothing to celebrate: Fidel Castro’s centenary and Cuba’s kleptocratic legacy

Nothing to celebrate: Fidel Castro’s centenary and Cuba’s kleptocratic legacy

Havana has been gearing up for the centenary of Fidel Castro’s birth on August 13, 2026. Fidel Castro died in 2016 after handing power over to his brother Raúl in 2006. Communists the world over claim him as one of their own, and international visitors are being hosted by the dictatorship to celebrate this anniversary. In 2006, Forbes magazine reported that Fidel Castro’s net worth was $900 million (€780 million). One of his bodyguards, Juan Reinaldo Sánchez, who defected, wrote a tell-all book, The Double Life of Fidel Castro: My 17 Years as Personal Bodyguard to El Lider Maximo, detailing Fidel’s 29 luxury homes, four yachts and private island (Cayo Piedra), not to mention other luxuries. This in a country where 89 per cent of the population lives in extreme poverty.
