Most of the world’s media including in the U.S is now stating or implying that the U.S. and Israel leapt impetuously into war with Iran, have blundered, and that the world may be on the verge of a terrible economic crisis, and a much wider and “forever” war. The biases of Al Jazeera and the Guardian, of the international leftist media generally, and the spigots of media Trump-hate in the United States are all well-known and drearily predictable. But many media outlets and commentators from whom we had a right to expect better have gleefully leapt into this trap like perspiring children jumping into a lake on a hot summer day.

El Mencho’s last stand

No one seems to know exactly how El Mencho was killed. We are told the feared leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel was captured by the Mexican army during a firefight in late February, and subsequently died of his wounds. Beyond that, there is very little information. Why are the Mexican and US governments being so secretive about his death?

El Mencho – real name Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes – was 59 when he died. He was Mexico’s most-wanted man; US authorities had offered a $15 million reward for information leading to his arrest. I decided I had to go to Jalisco, where El Mencho made his last stand, to look for answers. Most of Mexico’s airspace had been closed after his death, such was the level of unrest. Cars and buses were torched, gunmen set up roadblocks on Mexico’s highways and more than 70 people were killed in widespread retaliatory fighting. Three days after his death, I disembarked at Guadalajara International Airport on one of the first flights into the region.

Conservative campaign manager shrugs off polls showing Liberals have significant lead

The federal Conservative Party’s campaign manager is shrugging off polls showing the Liberals hold a double-digit lead over the Tories — while Pierre Poilievre says he’s broadening his image but won’t change who he is.

“Polls are polls, and they do what polls do,” Steve Outhouse said in an interview on Rosemary Barton Live that aired Sunday morning. “What you need to do, if you’re talking about the long game, is to not worry about them on a day-to-day basis.”

Over the last month, several national pollsters — including Leger, Abacus Data and Nanos Research — have found the Liberals leading the Conservatives by at least 10 points

As mayor of Vaughan, I’m urging Mark Carney to meet our Jewish community

I have an urgent request for Prime Minister Mark Carney: please come to Vaughan, Ont., to meet with our Jewish community.

As Vaughan’s mayor, I want you to know that Jews here feel angry, scared, defiant, tired, shocked and beleaguered. Who can blame them? I’ve lived my entire life in this country, but I have never before witnessed the shocking levels of antisemitism and Jew hatred we now see so regularly. I never imagined I would. Not here. Not in Canada.

Del Duca is lying.

He supported the Liberal Party and that means he supported their immigration policy that opened the floodgates to incompatible cultures like Islam.

I have no doubt he would smear anyone who opposed the death cult as an Islamophobe and a racist.

I hate that these pols are trying to wash their hands of responsibility.
