Chicago Police Given Disturbing New Order About Border Patrol Agents
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin says Chicago law enforcement officers received orders not to render aid to Border Patrol agents over the weekend as agents faced angry crowds. Melugin posted the report on X.
“Chicago police officers were instructed by their Chief of Patrol to NOT respond to Border Patrol agents’ call for help yesterday after they were reportedly surrounded by a large crowd of protesters following a ramming incident & shooting of an armed woman,” Melugin wrote.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to meet today with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, a meeting that political and industry observers are watching to see whether it brings any tariff reprieve.
A senior government official, speaking on a not-for-attribution basis ahead of the trip, tempered expectations about what could be delivered during their second sitdown in Washington since Carney took office back in April.
“Well, I guess he’s going to ask about tariffs ’cause a lot of companies from Canada are moving into the United States,” Trump said when asked about the upcoming meeting on Monday. He did not name which companies.

Canadian Tire fined $111K for violating temporary foreign worker program rules
The owner of an Etobicoke-based Canadian Tire store has been fined $111,000 by the federal government for violating the guidelines of Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program.
Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), the federal ministry that runs the TFW program, found branch owner Ezhil Natarajan in violation of two guidelines: that wages, work conditions or the job did not match what was listed in offers of employment and that employees were assigned to work different roles than what they were hired for.
