One injured after plane hits truck while landing in Newark

A truck driver has suffered minor injuries after a United Airlines plane clipped his vehicle and a streetlight as it approached Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey on Sunday.

The Boeing 767, operating a flight from Venice, Italy, managed to land safely, with no reported injuries among the 231 passengers and crew on board.

JUST IN: Baltimore bakery truck struck by a United Airlines plane coming in for a landing at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.

According to local reports, the plane was a United Airlines Boeing 767-400.

The mystery of the missing scientists linked to top-secret Nasa research

It sounds like the plot for an episode of The X-Files: at least 10 scientists – and counting – who all supposedly had access to sensitive US government research are dead or missing under mysterious circumstances.

Four worked for Nasa; three of them were even on the same team. Two had worked together at the same national laboratory in New Mexico. Another – a former senior air force research engineer who left his home on Feb 27 and hasn’t been seen since – had been involved in UFO research after his retirement.

Alarm bells for Trump as Mark Carney joins European summit

Officials in Brussels often joke about Canada joining the EU.

Some European leaders, including Alexander Stubb, the Finnish president, have even started to entertain the idea.

It remains a pipe dream for now – but Mark Carney will at least get to play the part of a European leader in Yerevan on Monday.

The Canadian prime minister will become the first leader of a non-European state to join a summit of the European Political Community.

Failed refugee claimant, MS-13 gang informant, identity thief and forger can stay in Canada

A failed refugee claimant convicted in the United States in 2006 and 2009 of identity theft and forgery has won a stay of the order issued by Canadian authorities last November to deport him to Honduras.

The man, identified only by the initials FGH in a recent Federal Court decision, “acted as an informant against the MS-13 gang in exchange for deferral of his removal from the United States.”
