The BBC says it has been in touch with police following claims one of its presenters paid a teenager £35,000 for sexually explicit photos.
The corporation says it is working as quickly as possible to establish the facts and that the presenter, who it has not named, has been suspended.
Claims the presenter began paying the young person when they were 17 were first reported by the Sun on Friday,

July 7 (Reuters) – Novavax Inc (NVAX.O) said on Friday Canada will pay $349.6 million to settle the forfeiting of certain doses of its COVID-19 vaccine previously scheduled for delivery.
The U.S. vaccine maker also reached a deal with the country’s public works and government services department to amend the advance purchase contract after a sharp decline in global demand left a raft of COVID-19 doses unused.

Fierté Sudbury Pride (FPS) has cancelled its annual ‘Pride March’ – a staple of the organization’s Pride Week in July – following statements made by Black Lives Matter (BLM) Sudbury.
“After careful consideration and in solidarity with our friends at Black Lives Matter,” said Sudbury Pride in a statement posted to Facebook early Saturday morning.
“We have made the decision to cancel the Pride March.”
At least 26 police officers were injured on Saturday at an Eritrean cultural event in the western German city of Giessen.
Police said they were pelted with items, including stones, bottles and smoke bombs as groups of Eritreans opposed to the African nation’s autocratic ruler tried to force their way to the venue.
Long story short, the festival was hosted by Pro-Regime Eritreans and was rushed by Anti-Regime Eritreans.
