Brian Stelter and ‘Reliable Sources’ Returning to CNN

You read that correctly. The liberal media’s janitor, Brian Stelter will be returning to CNN two years after being canned amid network-wide shake ups under the leadership of since-ousted boss Chris Licht. That’s according to a Tuesday scoop by Stelter’s former CNN media beat buddy Dylan Byers, and later confirmed by Stelter on X and in a post from the resurrected Reliable Sources Newsletter.

NDP announcing it will tear up governance agreement with Liberals

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is terminating the supply-and-confidence agreement his party made with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government.

The party is making the announcement in a video being posted on social media Wednesday afternoon. The deal was scheduled to run until June 2025.

“Justin Trudeau has proven again and again he will always cave to corporate greed. The Liberals have let people down. They don’t deserve another chance from Canadians,” Singh said in the video, a transcript of which was obtained by CBC News

NB – Jagmeet’s NDP will still have to vote Justin out, that doesn’t have to happen just because they ended the formal agreement.

US charges Hamas leaders some of whom are dead already, over 7 October attack on Israel

The US has charged Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and several other prominent figures in the Palestinian group in connection with its deadly attack in Israel on 7 October last year.

The justice department said it was indicting six Hamas members with seven charges, including the murder of dozens of US citizens, conspiracy to finance terrorism and use of weapons of mass destruction.

The criminal complaint covers decades of alleged attacks by Hamas, as well as last October’s unprecedented assault.

It is the first step by US law enforcement to hold accountable the ringleaders of that attack, but has been seen by analysts as partly symbolic, not least because some of those named in the indictment are already dead.

Most agents guarding Trump during assassination attempt were Homeland Security personnel who took ‘two-hour online webinar’: Sen. Hawley

Instead of having dozens of Secret Service agents on his detail for the July 13 rally, Trump was mostly guarded by Homeland Security agents who only received online webinar training before the event, Hawley (R-Mo.) said in an interview on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Tuesday evening.

“A two-hour, online webinar. And I’m told that half the time, the sounds to the webinar didn’t even work,” Hawley claimed.

This was allowed to “happen.”

It’s not often that German regional elections capture the world’s attention, but establishment parties all across the West have good reason to be terrified by Sunday’s results. In the east German states of Thuringia and Saxony, the three ruling parties – the Social Democrats (SPD), Greens and Liberals – came under assault from both ends of the political spectrum. The right-populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) scored an historic victory in Thuringia, winning its first-ever state election. Just as striking was the success of another consciously populist party, the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), which emerged from the rubble of the German left.

She preaches old school leftism. Pro-worker, anti-open borders/mass immigration and an avoidance of foreign entanglements.

The curious death of ‘Whaledimir’ the Russian spy whale

When a lone beluga whale began rubbing up against Norwegian fishing boats in April 2019, a few alarm bells should have started ringing – not just for conservationists, but also among the suits on the top floor at the headquarters of the Norwegian Intelligence Service in Lutvann.

First, the whale didn’t seem to have a pod. Toothed whales (which include beluga, dolphins and orca among other species) are not naturally solitary. They don’t roam the high seas alone. They are pack animals – social mammals that move in pods and can sense how another member of their group is feeling (not just physically, but emotionally) through echolocation. Spot one alone and that should be your first indication that something is up. Second, pod or not, he was a good deal further south of the high arctic than he should have been. Third, he appeared to be wearing a harness, which was causing him some distress – enough that he seemed to be approaching boats which would ordinarily scare belugas (white whales have a bloody history of being hunted) to try to get the harness off.
