Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled a slew of funding announcements in Cambodia on Saturday aimed at deepening economic and academic ties with Southeast Asia, after decades of sporadic engagement with the region.

“This is a generational shift,” Trudeau told leaders gathered in Phnom Penh for a summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

“I am announcing concrete investments that are part of our commitment to this relationship,” he said, before listing $333 million in new funding.

What an awful state of affairs, we are held hostage by a despised man-child and his equally hated errand boy.

Spoiled assholes throw maple syrup on Emily Carr painting at Vancouver Art Gallery

Climate activists in Vancouver said they threw maple syrup on a painting by one of Canada’s most iconic artists at the Vancouver Art Gallery Saturday to bring attention to the global climate emergency.

Emily Kelsall, who identified herself as one of the people who covered Emily Carr’s 1934 painting Stumps and Sky with maple syrup, said she was with a group called Stop Fracking Around.

No charges? Given Carr’s oeuvre was cultural appropriation the gallery probably wants to ditch her work anyway.

Boy abducted by ISIS reunited with his family in Winnipeg after eight years

Eight years after Ayad Alhussein was abducted by the terror group ISIS, he has been reunited with his family in Winnipeg.

On Thursday at the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport, Amal and Leila Alhussein hugged their little brother Ayad for the first time in eight years.

“We’re just so excited to welcome him to our new home here in Winnipeg,” Amal said.

They were last together at their home in Iraq when in 2014, ISIS arrived in the Yazidi family’s community. Amid the carnage, the family of 20 was reduced to just four. Ayad, who was only six years old at the time, was abducted by the terror group.

I can’t help but wonder why this story has received so little media attention relative to the coverage given to the ISIS whores Canada allows back.

Six people are feared dead after historic WWII-era B-17 Flying Fortress and Bell P-63 Kingcobra planes collide in mid-air at Dallas airshow

Six people are feared dead after a historic World War II-era B-17 Flying Fortress slammed into a P-63 Kingcobra plane in midair outside of Dallas, Texas on Saturday.

The two World War II-era planes collided in mid-air at the Wings Over Dallas event, sending debris flying and igniting a fire nearby.

Jason Evans, a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman, told the Dallas Morning News that the crash occurred at around 1.30pm above the Dallas Executive Airport.

Now the entertainment giant is reportedly planning layoffs, a targeted hiring freeze, and travel limitation on its employee.

It takes a lot of effort to screw up an institution like Disney.

For years now, central banks around the world have helped consumers and businesses weather economic storms. In crisis after crisis, they cut interest rates to help people get through. They printed money and bought bonds to prop up markets.

This time, those same banks are actively making life more difficult.

Mexico uses footage of homeless people and drug addicts from PHILADELPHIA in ads to scare young people away from substance abuse

The Mexican government is using video of homeless people and open-air drug users in Philadelphia’s troubled Kensington neighborhood in a national ad campaign to try to scare young people away from drugs.

Jesús Ramírez, the spokesman for Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, proudly presented the ad series Tuesday, saying the campaign ‘seeks to inform young people of the damage caused to health by the consumption of chemical drugs.’

Ramírez did not respond to repeated requests for comment as to where the government got the Philadelphia videos or why they used them in ads aimed at a Mexican audience.

Embassy guard Briton who sold secrets to Russians was angry over LGBT flag

A security guard with a “hatred of the UK” who admitted spying for the Russians grew enraged at the flying of the rainbow flag at the British Embassy in Berlin in support of LGBT rights.

David Ballantyne Smith pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to eight charges of having “leaked details about the identities and activities of UK agents” to a Russian general.

He pleaded not guilty to a ninth charge of providing information about building repairs being carried out at the embassy.

Madonna had social media users up in arms after she shared a video to her Instagram account in which she appeared to lick water out of a bowl.
