A U.S.-based Sikh group is rallying the diaspora in B.C. to vote for an independent state in India

U.S.-based group Sikhs for Justice is mobilizing members of its diaspora to vote in what it describes as a referendum, including one scheduled in Surrey, B.C., on Sunday to create an independent Sikh homeland in northern India called Khalistan.

The vote has been on a world tour since 2021 with more events planned to tap into separatist sentiments in the Sikh diaspora.

Organizers have conducted votes in London, Melbourne, Rome, Geneva and in Ontario, which attracted thousands of people in Brampton last year, and thousands in Mississauga this July. The group’s ultimate goal is to hold a vote in Punjab in 2025.

Gun rights group sues New Mexico governor over emergency firearm ban

A pro-gun group is suing the New Mexico governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham, in an effort to block a 30-day emergency order suspending the right to carry firearms in public in Albuquerque’s Bernalillo county issued last week after a spate of shootings.

The governor announced open and concealed carry restrictions on Friday in a public health order relating to gun violence after the fatal shootings of an 11-year-old boy on his way home from a minor league baseball game last week, as well as the fatal shooting of a four-year-old girl in her bed in a motor home and a 13-year-old girl in Taos county in August.

“The View”: Harpies don’t want no migrants neither

This is turning out to be a week of surprises from the lovin’ Left. I cannot think what’s gotten into them.

First it’s Mayor Eric “The Glitz” Adams, flat-out telling the world that the influx of mostly non-English speaking brown people was going to “destroy New York City.” He wasn’t feeling like rapping this sad song.

New York Times: Eric Adams Is A Democrat So It’s No Longer Hateful To Oppose Uncontrolled Mass Migration

A favorite pastime of mine is watching how quickly the national media discover nuance and complexity in a tragedy once it’s a Democrat who’s at the root of it.

Political violence committed by a Republican? Right-wing, pro-gun, white supremacist inspired by Fox News and Donald Trump’s hateful rhetoric!

Political violence committed by a Democrat? Well, there’s plenty of blame to go around, and both sides need to do their part in bringing down the temperature a little.

Full Authoritarian: New Mexico Governor Suspends Constitutional Gun Rights For Law-Abiding Citizens In Albuquerque

On Friday evening, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) issued an emergency order suspending the right of law-abiding citizens to open and conceal carry firearms in crime-ridden Albuquerque and the surrounding county for at least 30 days, after declaring a public health emergency in response to a spate of recent gun violence.

Untenable: The True Story of White Ethnic Flight from America’s Cities

Our well-intentioned government—named the “Good Intentions Paving Company” by financial analyst James Grant—always seems to find itself scrambling to explain how its latest scheme for a better world has delivered us into an even lower circle of hell. Bureaucrats to the core, they’ve even developed a one-step procedure for dealing with this task: blame it on the people. The term “white flight” is a product of this procedure.

A principal benefit of this system is that the Paving Company doesn’t have to ask people—in this case, the whites who took “flight”—why they fled. It must be because they were fleeing from nonwhite people, and fleeing from nonwhite people is racist. Why would you bother consulting racists about their motives?

US Military faces recruitment crisis thanks to ‘unpatriotic’ Gen Z, obesity, therapy ban

Much of the military will fall short of recruitment goals by as much as 25% this year — caused by a combination of obesity and falling patriotism in Gen Z and by restrictions on recruits having had therapy.

The Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard are all expected to fall short of their recruitment goals this year, they told The Post.

“My generation is a real challenge,” 25-year-old Marine 2nd Lt. Matthew Weiss told the Post. “Something has to change.”

Caste discrimination could soon be banned in California. But the effort has been contentious

California lawmakers have cleared a bill that would explicitly ban caste discrimination in the state, sending it to the governor’s desk for signature.

State senators passed a bill on Tuesday that specifies caste as a subset of ancestry in the state’s civil rights statutes, which would give residents legal recourse against instances of caste discrimination. The measure, an amended version of a bill that originally passed the Senate in May, was approved by a vote of 31-5.

Thousands Flee Trudeaupia: US-Canadian border flooded with illegal crossers, more caught in 2023 than 10 years combined

Over 6,100 people from 76 different countries were caught illegally crossing into the United States along its northeastern border over the last 11 months alone — more than were apprehended there in the last 10 years combined, US border officials announced.

“Swanton Sector Agents are resolute and determined to hold the line,” said Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia in a series of social media posts Tuesday.

Garcia’s sector stretches nearly 300 miles across the US-Canadian border in New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

NYC Mayor Adams warns migrant crisis will ‘destroy’ city, rips Biden for failing to help

Mayor Eric Adams warned that the raging migrant crisis will “destroy” New York City and tore into President Biden for ignoring his pleas for help, saying the White House has given “no support” for the thousands of asylum seekers arriving each month.

“I’m gonna tell you something, New Yorkers, never in my life have I had a problem that I didn’t see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this,” Adams said at a town hall on the Upper West Side Wednesday night. “This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City.”

They should declare themselves a sanctuary city.

What the Left Did to Our Country

In the last 20 years, the Left has boasted that it has gained control of most of America institutions of power and influence—the corporate boardroom, media, Silicon Valley, Wall Street, the administrative state, academia, foundations, social media, entertainment, professional sports, and Hollywood.

With such support, between 2009-17, Barack Obama was empowered to transform the Democratic Party from its middle-class roots and class concerns into the party of the bicoastal rich and subsidized poor—obsessions with big money, race, a new intolerant green religion, and dividing the country into a binary of oppressors and oppressed.

Chinese Gate-Crashers at U.S. Bases Spark Espionage Concerns

WASHINGTON—Chinese nationals, sometimes posing as tourists, have accessed military bases and other sensitive sites in the U.S. as many as 100 times in recent years, according to U.S. officials, who describe the incidents as a potential espionage threat.

The Defense Department, FBI and other agencies held a review last year to try to limit these incidents, which involve people who officials have dubbed gate-crashers because of their attempts—either by accident or intentionally—to get onto U.S. military bases and other installations without proper authorization. They range from Chinese nationals found crossing into a U.S. missile range in New Mexico to what appeared to be scuba divers swimming in murky waters near a U.S. government rocket-launch site in Florida.

Mexico places slab of Berlin Wall near border with US

Mexico has placed a slab of the Berlin Wall near the US-Mexico border in protest over its neighbour’s attempts to stem migration.

Despite Joe Biden cancelling Donald Trump’s plans to build a wall between the two countries on his first day in office, he has moved ahead with small, already-contracted projects.

One of those has been a two-layered wall in San Diego, standing 18ft high and rising 30ft in some parts.
