Biden or Trump? During Washington visit, Alberta premier says, ‘There’s challenges with both’

If the premier of Alberta has a preference in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, she’s not sharing it publicly.

At a news conference during a trip to Washington, D.C., Danielle Smith pointed to different difficulties in dealing with either a Democrat or a Republican.

When asked whether Joe Biden or Donald Trump would be better for her province, she replied: “I think there’s challenges with both.”

Both candidates have protectionist policies, Smith said.

She’ll hate Biden More.

The South Is Being Flooded by Leftugees

Now southerners are sitting in traffic — and that’s a good thing.

It was a Capitol Hill press spokesman job for a conservative Florida Congressman that got me to Washington, D.C. in 1982, where I contracted no Potomac Fever whatever. JFK was right when he described Washington as a city of Southern efficiency and Northern charm — and I was there for the good years when the Gipper was dozing in the White House and it appeared the nation was returning to some semblance of sanity.

I’ve never seen so many people per square yard as in that bloated company town. Self-importance is pandemic there. To those who asked about my D.C. experiences on my return to Planet Earth, I replied, “I’d like to buy those people up there for what they’re worth and sell them for what they think they’re worth.”

Why Don’t We Want a War with Iran?

Every discussion about the current Middle East conflict begins with the mandatory mantra, “We don’t want war with Iran.” Why not? That question is rarely asked.

Iran has declared war on the United States — militarily, legally, diplomatically, morally and politically. They have engaged in repeated casus belli (legal causes for war) since the mullahs took Americans hostage in 1979. Since that time, they have used their surrogates to attack American targets. We are entitled to respond militarily, as we are doing. But we are also entitled to go much further and treat them as aggressors who have effectively declared war on us. We are entitled to destroy their capacity to continue to wage war against us and our allies. The policy question in not whether we have a right to wage war against Iran. It is whether it is in our interest to do so.

Western allies chilled by China’s new Antarctic base

Early Chicom Antarctic Base

President Xi has lauded the inauguration of a Chinese scientific research base in Antarctica which the US fears could be developed to monitor military activity in the southern hemisphere.

The Qinling research centre will “contribute to enhancing humanity’s scientific understanding of Antarctica, provide a platform for China’s co-operation with other countries in Antarctic scientific exploration, and promote peace and sustainable development in Antarctica”, according to the foreign ministry.

The Border Crisis Is The Definition Of A Foreign ‘Invasion’

When the Rev. Al Sharpton used the word “invasion” to describe the onslaught of migrants at the southern U.S. border on Monday, his MSNBC guest suddenly stopped nodding along. And then the fast blinking began — he was triggered. Because to the American left, the word “invasion” is off-limits and even “violence-inciting.”

New Docs Expose Amazon Caving In to Biden Admin Pressure to Censor Books

Explosive new evidence adds another terrifying chapter to the incestuous collusion story between President Joe Biden’s administration and Big Tech to censor free speech.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan unleashed a trove of subpoenaed documents on X (formerly Twitter) exposing the Biden admin pressuring leftist tech giant Amazon to censor books that went against government narratives. Amazon — already notorious for how it nuked free speech platform Parler in 2021 from Amazon Web Services for allowing wrongthink to remain uncensored — seemed disturbed by the White House pressure. “Is the [Biden] Admin asking us to remove books?” asked one chilling email from an Amazon official. The documents actually showed Amazon capitulating to Biden’s pressure. Apparently, the Biden administration wasn’t content with limiting its dystopian speech control efforts to just Facebook and Twitter. Enter, The Amazon Files.

Chinese migrants now the fastest-growing group trying to cross into the U.S.

After China’s prolonged and strict COVID lockdown destroyed her business, a woman decided to leave her two young children with family to travel to Mexico and cross into the U.S. through a hole at the border.

She’s far from alone: Chinese migrants are the fastest growing group trying to cross into the U.S. from Mexico. Last year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported 37,000 Chinese citizens were apprehended as they illegally crossed the border; that’s 50 times more than two years earlier.

Many of the migrants say they made the journey to escape China’s increasingly repressive political climate and sluggish economy. The mom, through a translator, told “60 Minutes” that what motivated her was more than economic reasons and could be summed up in one word.

“Freedom,” she said.

New Jersey-based smuggling gang run by illegal aliens has helped dozens sneak into US from CANADA for $6,000 a head

As the migrant crisis reaches boiling point and divides cities and states, DailyMail.com can reveal another border scandal occurring right under Americans’ noses.

These are the faces of a prolific people smuggling gang run by undocumented migrants who started sneaking into the US illegally in 2019 and are now offering passage to others by bringing them in from Canada for $6,000-a-head.

Several have been running the gang from New Jersey, where they settled after being released by ICE.

A Border Crisis By Design – It is unequivocally the intended result of Biden administration policy.

Three years into the border crisis, most Americans still don’t understand what’s actually happening at the border. This lack of understanding extends to the mainstream press and to most Republicans, who have struggled to communicate effectively on the issue.

The cause of the current crisis is President Joe Biden’s unprecedented refusal to enforce federal immigration law, which requires that all asylum-seekers be detained rather than released into the United States. The solution, therefore, is for Biden to start enforcing federal law as he is constitutionally required to do—or for Congress to deny the president something else he wants until he does.

Dearborn Michigan is on edge as Wall Street Journal article brands it ‘America’s jihad capital’

Hamas Rally Dearborn Michigan

A Michigan suburb with the largest Muslim population in the US has upped its security in fear of hate attacks after it was branded America’s ‘jihad capital.’

The headline of a Wall Street Journal opinion piece published on Friday read ‘Welcome to Dearborn, America’s Jihad Capital‘ – a title given to the city by the publication because of its residents’ pro-Palestine stances.

The contentious article was written by Steven Stalinsky, who is a commentator on terrorism and has served as executive director of the Middle East Media Research Institute, based in Washington DC, since 1999.

I don’t know what the upset is about Dearborn is America’s Jihad capital.

Trump Opens Largest General Election Lead Yet As Biden’s Unfavorable Rating Climbs to Record High: Poll

In a sign of how imperiled his reelection may be, President Biden — despite winning South Carolina’s Democratic primary by a landslide Saturday — is trailing President Trump by the largest margin in the history of the NBC News poll, which now shows the incumbent’s disapproval rating at a record high.

The poll shows Mr. Trump leading Mr. Biden in a general election 47 percent to 42 percent — outside of the margin of error of 3.1 percent. Mr. Trump led Mr. Biden for the first time in the NBC poll in November of last year, but that two-point lead was within the poll’s margin of error.

Illegal Immigration: Violence vs Votes

The left is playing the long game.

A video of New York City Police officers being assaulted by a group of illegal immigrants was making the rounds earlier this week, and it wasn’t pretty. Two of the Big Apple’s finest were shown on West 42nd Street near Times Square wrestling someone to the ground while others piled on with kicks and punches. It looked to all the world like a mob was about to form and overwhelm the officers.

The Truck: A Rolling Symbol of America

Can a car, or a passenger vehicle, capture the very spirit of a country?

As a matter of fact, it can. The car has evolved differently depending on where in the world we go. Cars in India tend to be small because their cities are so crowded and the purchasing power is generally low. Japanese cars have historically been incredibly reliable, because people do not expect to have to buy that many of them throughout their lifetime.

Swedish cars—back when they built their own cars and not Chinese clones—were modest, safe, and ‘lagom’ (‘just right’)—three adjectives that define the Swedish national character.

But what about America? What vehicle captures the American spirit?
