Toronto church Revivaltime Tabernacle says it will no longer shelter asylum claimants

Revivaltime Tabernacle, a church that took in several hundred recent asylum claimants over the past few months in response to Toronto’s shelter space crisis, says it will no longer be open as a shelter.

Pastor Judith James says that recent asylum seekers to Canada are no longer sheltered at the church as of Thursday and that previously postponed church services will resume.

They should not be here.

Chicago residents slam ‘hypocrite’ lawmakers over plans to house 300 new migrants in hotels while city’s majority-black homeless population is left to suffer on streets

Chicago’s plan to turn a hotel in the Hyde Park district into a shelter for 300 migrants has angered locals, who pointed out at a contentious meeting on Wednesday that many local homeless people were left to sleep on the streets.

Chicago has seen 11,000 migrants arrive in the city since August 2022, the mayor’s deputy chief of staff Cristina Pacione-Zayas said at the end of June.

Many of them have been bussed from the U.S.-Mexico border by the governor of Texas, Greg Abbott.

Saskatchewan designed an immigration policy that benefits citizens and newcomers, The Star says it’s RACIST!

This Canadian province wants to pick immigrants based on their nation. Is that fair, or a ‘slippery slope’?

In a first-of-its-kind pilot project, Saskatchewan is picking skilled immigrants based on their country of residence, raising eyebrows for deviating from Canada’s selection system that has otherwise been open to all regardless of race and nationality.

In August, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program created six draws with the goal of inviting 542 skilled immigrants in dozens of occupational backgrounds to settle in the province as permanent residents.

The catch is only those who are living in one of these eight countries can qualify: Czechia, Germany, India, Ireland, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine.

Because Canada’s current policy inviting incompatible cultures who have little to no desire to integrate has worked out so well.

Just think of the ethno-religious conflicts we’d miss out on if we screened for suitability! Assassinations, riots, honor killings!

Such vibrant diversity makes us stronger.

Canadians love being treated like 2nd class citizens in their own nation and understand that immigration policy must always conform to the needs of the corporate and political class.

You gotta break a few eggs to depress wages, create housing shortages and foment a fearful balkanized society I always say.

But here’s the rub, Trudeau has turned Canada into such a shithole state that the majority of “permanent residents” no longer desire to become citizens:

In 2021, nearly 45.7 per cent of permanent residents who’d been in Canada for less than 10 years became citizens.

That’s down from 60 per cent in 2016, and 75.1 per cent in 2001.

But of course the Star finds an “expert” who argues the old system is working just fine. Fine in the sense that today’s immigrants are not the old immigrants and are more likely to use Canada only as a safe place to park their money before moving on to greener pastures.

Fine in the sense the government is so inept they lost track of a million migrants thus grossly understating the housing and infrastucture crisis.

That’s a great return on investment.

Another Trudeau Lie: A million more non-permanent residents live in Canada than official figures, ministers told

A leading economist warned federal ministers at their cabinet retreat last week that there are around one million more non-permanent residents living in Canada, including foreign students, than government estimates suggest.

The warning came in a briefing from Benjamin Tal, deputy chief economist at CIBC Capital Markets. He told the Liberal government gathering in Charlottetown that the undercounting in the official statistics means Canada is underestimating the number of new homes required to meet the country’s increasing housing needs.

Canadian universities don’t want a cap on international students. Here’s why

Amid talk of a cap on international students due to the housing crisis, Universities Canada says there’s no need for any such limit.

Canada currently has 800,000 student permit holders and several federal ministers have hinted that the number be capped in the future to ease housing demand.

They love the money foreign students bring, pays for all those fat salaries.

How to fix a broken foreign student visa system? Send it back to school

Marc Miller, the new federal immigration minister, gets it. Whether he plans to fix it; whether the Prime Minister’s Office is interested in fixing it; and whether the provinces will help all remain to be seen.

The “it” is Canada’s student visa program. Its defects and side effects have been getting a lot of attention, mostly in relation to housing prices. The fact that more than 800,000 visa students were in Canada last year, compared to fewer than 200,000 a decade and a half ago, is one of many contributors to a growing mismatch between housing demand and supply. It’s not discriminatory to point this out. It’s just math.

My bet is Miller will do nothing, ethnic vote blocs matter to the Liberals and they will not do anything to jeapordize votes.

Smuggler with ties to ISIS helped Uzbek migrants enter US from Mexico, raising alarm bells across government

The FBI is investigating more than a dozen Uzbek nationals allowed into the US after they sought asylum at the southern border with Mexico earlier this year, a scramble set off when US intelligence officials found that the migrants traveled with the help of a smuggler with ties to ISIS, according to multiple US officials.

While the FBI says no specific ISIS plot has been identified, officials are still working to “identify and assess” all of the individuals who gained entry to the United States, according to a statement from National Security Council spokesman Adrienne Watson. And they are closely scrutinizing a number of the migrants as possible criminal threats, according to two US officials.

Trudeau says you should live in crappy boxes stacked high

Trudeau says ‘densification’ is key to fix housing crisis. Is it enough?

When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his cabinet went into a huddle at this year’s cabinet retreat in Charlottetown, it was clear that housing was top of mind. When Trudeau emerged from the retreat last week, he told reporters some of the measures Canada most needs.

Among those was the need for densification, a growing topic dominating conversations at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.

ChiCom infiltrators posing as students frustrated by lengthy security checks as school year nears

Some Chinese international students say their study permits have been tied up in security screenings, leaving them in the lurch for months after being admitted to Canadian universities.

Yunze Lu, a master’s student in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Ottawa, has already completed a year of coursework online and successfully applied to the school’s co-op program.

“I have a very simple and clear background. It’s OK to be checked, but I don’t think it needs to be checked for so long,” he said.

‘The pain is real.’ Why this segment of the GTA real estate market is starting to see more distressed buyers

Cracks are starting to show in Toronto’s preconstruction housing market, as financial pressures not only stall future projects but some industry experts are also seeing an uptick in purchasers putting their properties up for sale, with the most distressed cases coming from buyers of lowrise and freehold homes in the suburbs.
They warn it could be just the beginning, as preconstruction homebuyers who put down a deposit during the pandemic find their full payment coming due in a drastically changed economic and interest rate climate.

Refugees sleeping in Toronto churches continue calls for government support

After spending days or weeks living in an emergency shelter at a Toronto church, dozens of asylum seekers and refugees want action from the provincial and federal government.

On Thursday, asylum seekers who have been living at Pilgrim Feast Tabernacles in Etobicoke staged a protest outside Premier Doug Ford’s constituency office at 823 Albion Road. Nadine Miller, a director with the church, says its been housing about 150 people and neglecting bills to pay for their food.

While immigration policies are a federal responsibility, Miller and the church is calling on all levels of government to work together on a solution.

Why can’t they sleep in Tents like Canadian homeless?

Liberal Immigration Minister: We know the foreign student program is a scam and we’re doing everything we can to not fix it

Integrity of immigration system at risk as international student numbers balloon, minister says

… Canada is on track to welcome around 900,000 international students this year, Miller said in an interview that aired Saturday on CBC’s The House. That’s more than at any point in Canada’s history and roughly triple the number of students who entered the country a decade ago.

… “It is an ecosystem in Canada that is very lucrative and it’s come with some perverse effects: some fraud in the system, some people taking advantage of what is seen as a backdoor entry into Canada, but also pressure in a number of areas — one of those is housing,” he said.

… But Miller shied away from committing to the idea of a hard cap on the number of students entering Canada.

Integrity is a word that Liberals should be banned from using. What Miller means is the Liberals have to find a “fix” that protects their ethnic strongmen and their skim.

God forbid the Liberals should upset China’s 5th Column operations.

GUNTER: Canadian cities on low end of employment income scale

This week, Vancouver’s Fraser Institute put out tables showing the median employment income in the 141 largest cities in North America.

The highest-ranked Canadian city is Ottawa because bureaucrats have higher incomes on average than private-sector workers. Still, our nation’s capital was only 53rd best on the continent.

But mass immigration doesn’t depress wages! Justin said so!
