Border Patrol apprehensions of illegal immigrants at the northern U.S. border have jumped from 916 in fiscal year 2021 to 10,021 in fiscal 2023.

HIGHGATE, Vt.—At dawn or dusk, Kristy Brow used to enjoy alone time walking in the woods on her 21-acre property in Highgate, Vermont, a small rural town near the U.S.–Canada border.

Lately, however, she’s cautious—she’s worried about potential encounters with illegal immigrants along the remote logging trail.

“I don’t go out by myself anymore—especially at night,” said Mrs. Brow, who runs a dog obedience business from her home.

“It’s unsettling. You can’t feel relaxed anymore,” she said. “You want to be safe in your own house and on your property.

Who Says Our Economy Needs Two Million Migrants a Year?

Immigration without limits enriches some but also strains important parts of the economy.

Thurston Howell III went off on Gilligan now and then. In one episode the fictional tycoon got so mad he referred to the sailor as “probably not even a Republican.” That was when many pre-literate boomers got their first inkling of well-heeled northeasterners as stereotypical stalwarts of the GOP. Howell belonged to all the right clubs, knew the right people and graduated Harvard. A remake of Gilligan’s Island that fit in with modern times would switch Howell to the blue party and amp his rage up to eleven.

International student charged after alleged voyeurism involving cellphone at U of T residence

Toronto police say they have charged an international student after they received reports of voyeurism involving female students being filmed while they were in the shower at a University of Toronto residence.

In a news release on Saturday, police said the latest incident happened at the Wilson Hall Residence at New College on Willcocks Street near Spadina Avenue on Tuesday. Students alleged a cellphone was held over a shower curtain.

Police said while a female student was showering in an all-female washroom at the residence, she noticed a shadow over the shower curtain.

Illegal Alien from Lebanon caught at border admitted he’s a Hezbollah terrorist and hoped ‘to make a bomb’ in US

A Lebanese migrant who was caught sneaking over the border admitted he’s a member of Hezbollah, he hoped to make a bomb, and his destination was New York, The Post can reveal.

Basel Bassel Ebbadi, 22, was caught by border patrol on March 9 near El Paso, Texas. While in custody he asked what he was doing in the US, to which he replied: “I’m going to try to make a bomb,” according to a Border Patrol document exclusively obtained by The Post.

How asylum claims by students at these two Ontario colleges became ‘alarming’

Canada’s Immigration Minister Marc Miller warned last month that the increases in the number of asylum claims from international students is “alarming” and “totally unacceptable.”

Speaking ahead of cabinet meeting on Parliament Hill, Miller highlighted Toronto’s Seneca College, where asylum claims from international students increased from 300 in 2022 to almost 700 in 2023, and Kitchener’s Conestoga College, where claims jumped from 106 to 450 during that same period, reports The Canadian Press.

Tyson Foods wants to hire 52,000 asylum seekers for factory jobs

New York City shelters are overwhelmed with migrants.

Many of them have arrived in Texas or Florida and then taken buses to New York, where shelter and benefits are guaranteed. However, the city is scrambling as the number continues to climb and the migrants look to build a new life in America, which includes housing and work.

But for companies like Tyson Foods Inc., struggling to fill unpopular jobs with a U.S. unemployment rate of 3.9%, this new population presents an alluring opportunity.

‘He’s in full control’: Why Poilievre is distancing Conservatives from corporate Canada

OTTAWA — Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s recent criticism of “useless” corporate lobbyists is rooted in his party’s skepticism of the modern business community and also meant to demonstrate that he is not “beholden” to anyone as he prepares to form government, say political observers.

In fact, those observers say that Poilievre’s strategy involves deliberately ditching the traditional business luncheon circuits in Ottawa, Toronto or Montreal to speak directly to voters.

Frankly I am skeptical.

Under Trudeau corporate Canada has dictated the Liberal Party’s ruinous mass immigration policy.

We all know how it works.

Trudeau’s Liberal Party curries favour with ethnic vote blocs by flooding the country with immigrants of dubious economic and social caliber.

The corporate class gets the malleable cheap labour pool they want while the well positioned profit from the shortages caused by the huge increase in population.

The article mentions that Poilievre is bypassing the business class and speaking directly to working class voters, both of them.

Nowhere is mass immigration mentioned as a topic of discussion in Poilievre’s heart to hearts and for that I call time.

Princeton economist with a Nobel under his belt eats crow and does a U-turn on mass migration

Just yesterday, Breitbart News reported on Angus Deaton’s epiphany regarding the mass invasion of illegal foreigners into the American interior; he finally realized that importing millions of freeloaders to our welfare state isn’t such a good thing for the working class taxpayers, or the economy. Deaton is a Princeton economist and a Nobel recipient, so cut him some slack, he’s a little slower than the rest of us—remember, “the road to Hell is paved with Ivy League degrees” and apparently, Nobel Prizes too.

In Praise of Conspiracy Theories: From The Camp of the Saints to Camps in the Darién Gap

Last week, the American journalist Tucker Carlson interviewed Bret Weinstein, a professional biologist who became a public intellectual after he and his scientist wife were driven out of their woke university for refusing to cooperate with a diversity program they regarded as racist. Though he has been a lifelong leftist and atheist, Weinstein’s iconoclastic observations and commentaries have been embraced by conservatives who are more interested in truth than ideological conformity. It turns out that people like him, who find themselves thrust outside the bubble of epistemic closure, often see things that the rest of us do not.

On the Carlson program, Weinstein reported on his recent visit to the Darién Gap, the densely forested patch of land in Panama, through which all migrants headed north from South America must pass. For most of the millions of migrants who have passed this way headed to the United States in recent years, this is the most perilous part of their journey. Weinstein, who is familiar with the area from his field research there as a biologist, was shocked to see NGOs everywhere in the Darién Gap, and also the United Nations migration office.

“The United States Government is facilitating this economic migration,” he said on the show. “It’s unmistakable.”

Half of all Canadians say there are too many immigrants: poll

High immigration levels have traditionally enjoyed multi-partisan support in Canada, but half of all people now say that there are too many newcomers, according to a new poll.

The survey conducted for the Association for Canadian Studies and the Metropolis Institute found 50 per cent of Canadians agree that there are too many immigrants coming into Canada — a number that has more than doubled since January 2023 but has remained consistent across polls conducted in the past six months.

“Concerns over immigration are primarily about the economy rather than fears about immigrants changing the social fabric of Canada, the poll suggests.”

I find this statement misleading as it is only natural that economic concerns would be ranked first which in no way diminishes the worry people have about Canada being remade by mass immigration from incompatible cultures especially given the extent of Hamas support recently revealed.  Not to mention the rising tide of anti-white discrimination endorsed by governments at all levels in Canada.

The organization responsible for conducting this poll seems suspiciously Liberal left & multicultural  receiving funding from Heritage Canada and coming complete with a land acknowledgement.

“These subsidies for businesses — also known as corporate welfare — come with huge costs to government budgets and taxpayers, while doing little if anything to stimulate economic growth,” said Tegan Hill, co-author of “The Cost of Business Subsidies in Canada: Updated Edition,” by the fiscally conservative think tank.

Frankly the Liberal party’s corporate cronies don’t just abuse Canada’s nation destroying mass immigration policy they dictate it.

John Lydon has lashed out at the apparent effects of immigration in the UK during a fiery interview in which he doubled down on his support for Brexit.

The former Sex Pistol, who is himself the son of immigrants, decried Britain’s seaside towns as “run down” and full of “prospective immigrants”, which he claimed has fueled “animosity in communities”.

Are the thousands of Chinese ‘migrants’ flooding into the U.S. really a sleeper army of spies and soldiers preparing for war?

Topped with razor wire that glints menacingly in the desert sun, a 30ft steel fence runs along part of the vast U.S.-Mexican border, providing an imposing bulwark in America’s war against illegal immigration.

But at a certain point, where the fence runs up against a rocky outcrop, there is a 4ft gap, loosely blocked with more razor wire.

Predictably, it fails to discourage a steady stream of migrants, who simply step around the wire and enter the promised land.

Where migrants go AFTER they cross the border: 21,000 Chinese nationals rushed to New York while others flocked to DC, L.A. and Chicago on buses from Texas

Texas has bussed more than 105,300 migrants to sanctuary cities around the US since it launched its program to move them out of the state.

The first busload of migrants from the Lone Star State arrived in Washington, DC in April 2022 a few blocks from the US Capitol and just directly in from of the Fox News office where cameras were rolling.

Gov. Greg Abbott has now sent over 12,500 border crossers to the nation’s capital.
