Zahid Iqbal was a member of a terrorist gang who plotted an attack at a Territorial Army centre in Luton where a remote-controlled toy car would be used to carry a homemade bomb.
The co-leader of the group planned to make the bomb based on instructions in an Al Qaeda manual called ‘Make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom – by the Al Qaeda chef’.

A boy of 13 launched a stabbing rampage in a school on Tuesday, leaving two children fighting for their lives in a suspected terror attack.
In the middle of a classroom just before lunch, a teenager pulled out a knife and stabbed a 13-year-old boy in the neck and back while shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’, witnesses said.
Seconds later, a second boy aged 12 was knifed in front of screaming children at Kingsbury High School in Brent, north-west London.
Famed for its openness and slower pace of life, Sweden is one of the last places you might expect to see children being pulled off the streets and searched without a warrant, or having their phones spied on by detectives.

A Calgary man who joined the Islamic State group in the Middle East was sentenced Wednesday to 16 years in prison.
“Terrorism has been described as the most vile form of criminal conduct,” Court of King’s Bench Justice Corina Dario said as she sentenced Jamal Borhot.
“The sentence must also send a clear and unmistakable message that terrorism is reprehensible and those who conduct it will pay a heavy, substantial price.”

Meanwhile the Brotherhood is free to go about its business in the UK for, despite many demands from across the political spectrum that it should be banned, Sir Keir Starmer has refused and instead offered only the pseudo-reassurance that the Labour government is keeping the Brotherhood ‘under very close review’.

There are crimes so extreme that the mind instinctively rejects them, not because they are implausible, but because accepting them would require acknowledging a collapse of morality too large to comprehend. Child sexual abuse is one such crime.
Child sexual abuse does not arrive in a single form. It ranges from isolated abductions, to organised pornography networks, to violence carried out by parents or those entrusted with care. Every one of these crimes is horrific, and none should ever be minimised or ignored.
