The lies, denials and innuendos about Israel distributed by the United Nations and its affiliated agencies have long been outrageous. But this week, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reached a new low that illustrates its veracious appetite to take advantage of the war by spreading lies to raise money.

Actress Susan Sarandon has apologized for her recent comment at a pro-Palestinian rally where she claimed that American Jews are now “getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country.”

In a statement issued Friday, Susan Sarandon said her phrasing was “a terrible mistake,” adding that she regretted belittling the history of Jewish persecution.

I’m going to forgive her. I can’t help myself.

A protester is in critical condition after setting themselves on fire outside an Israeli consulate in the United States in what police said was an “extreme act of political protest”.

Officials said a Palestinian flag was recovered from the scene of the blaze which occurred just after midday Friday outside the Consulate General of Israel in Atlanta.

Atlanta police Chief Darin Schierbaum said the unidentified protester, who had used petrol as an accelerant, suffered “100 per cent burns”.

Israel’s Channel 12 expands on some of the details that were reported by Reuters and Axios this week regarding the Biden administration’s waning tolerance for Israel’s war against Hamas…

Israel’s military has made no secret of the intensity of its bombardment of the Gaza Strip. In the early days of the offensive, the head of its air force spoke of relentless, “around the clock” airstrikes. His forces, he said, were only striking military targets, but he added: “We are not being surgical.”

There has, however, been relatively little attention paid to the methods used by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to select targets in Gaza, and to the role artificial intelligence has played in their bombing campaign.

October 7 should have been an open-and-shut case of moral condemnation.

During peace and holiday, invading Hamas gunmen murdered, tortured, mass raped, decapitated, and mutilated some 1,200 Israelis. The vast majority were unarmed women, children, infants, and the elderly.

For Kelly Baron, now ex-publisher of the Canadian literary journal Ex-Puritan, the final straw was a statement re-posted by a colleague on Instagram. It accused Israelis of stealing Palestinian bodies for their skin due to allegedly high rates of skin cancer for Israelis – the suggestion being that Jews are not indigenous to the region.

Even before the skin-stealing post, Ms. Baron felt, after the Hamas attacks on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza by Israel, that some social media activity by CanLit colleagues went beyond support for Palestinians and strayed into antisemitic territory.

The devastating Hamas weapon of war is the Western media.

Hamas, the genocidal jihadi force responsible for the barbaric Oct. 7 pogrom in Israel, has a devastating weapon of war. That weapon is the Western media.

With some honorable exceptions, these media outlets have been doing Hamas’s filthy work for it. Despite the terror group’s record of lying through its teeth, the media accepts what it says at face value while casting doubt on everything said by the habitually truthful Israelis.
