Keffiyeh Doug says pro-Palestinian university encampments ‘need to move’

TORONTO – Ontario Premier Doug Ford says encampments set up on university campuses by pro-Palestinian protesters “need to move.”

Ford says he’s getting messages from parents expressing concerns that their kids will be harassed or bullied because of the encampments, which have cropped up on several campuses in recent weeks.

The premier says some of what he’s seen and heard about the protests is “unacceptable,” and universities need to “move them on.”

Columbia Concedes, Cancels Main University-Wide Commencement Ceremony Because of the Radicals

Looks like Columbia University has conceded a big event to the radical pro-Hamas protesters.

After weeks of turmoil and finally calling in the police to clear out the encampment and Hamilton Hall which the activists broke into and occupied, Columbia is calling off the university-wide commencement ceremony that was scheduled for May 15. It’s usually held on the lawn where the radical activists had been encamped.

Three MPPs asked to leave Queen’s Park legislature after Speaker clarifies where the Hamas rag can be worn

Checks all boxes, Black, female, disabled, hates Jews

Speaker Ted Arnott says the kaffiyeh can be worn in the Ontario legislative building — but not in the chamber itself.

Shortly after his remarks during Monday’s question period — which he said were to clarify his previous ruling that banned the black-and-white scarves at Queen’s Park — three MPPs were told to leave the chamber for donning kaffiyehs, which they did.

New Democrats Kristyn Wong-Tam (Toronto Centre), Joel Harden (Ottawa Centre) and former NDP now Independent MPP Sarah Jama told reporters after that they disagree with the ban.

Hamas tells Qatari, Egyptian mediators it agrees to ceasefire proposal

Hamas has told the Qatari and Egyptian mediators that it agreed to the Qatari-Egyptian ceasefire proposal, the terror group told Al Jazeera on Monday evening.

Earlier today, it was reported that Hamas suspended hostage talks as Israel ignored the warnings of world leaders and pushed forward with plans for a military operation in Rafah, starting with the evacuation of Palestinians from that area of Gaza on Monday.

“We confirm that any military offensive in Rafah will not be a picnic to the fascist occupation army,” Hamas said in a statement. “Our brave resistance on top of them, the Qassam Brigades, is fully prepared to defend our people and defeat this enemy.”

Hamas Supporters stage Gaza protest and ‘chant at Holocaust and October 7 survivors’ as they walked to Auschwitz in ‘March of the Living’

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators massed near the grounds of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp today, rolling out flags and hoisting balloons as groups gathered for the ‘March of the Living’ in remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust.

Police sirens wailed as protestors displayed banners at groups wearing Israeli flags along the sidelines of the event, which brings together thousands annually to observe Holocaust Remembrance Day in silence.

Eyewitnesses claimed protestors were ‘chanting’ at participants on the march, with Israelis responding with lines from ‘Am Israel chai’, a Jewish solidarity anthem.

Israel tells 100,000 people to leave eastern Rafah ahead of ground invasion

Israel has dropped leaflets urging 100,000 residents of eastern Rafah to evacuate ahead of an expected military operation in the southern Gazan city.

“The IDF is about to operate with force against the terror organisation in the area you currently reside. Anyone in the area puts themselves and their family members in danger,” the IDF said in the leaflets.

There are currently 1.3 million Palestinians sheltering in Rafah, most of whom fled heavy bombing in the rest of the Gaza Strip for the relative safety of the only city that has not yet seen intense fighting.

Spike in ‘violent rhetoric’ since Oct. 7 attack from ‘extremist actors,’ CSIS warns … ZERO Mention Of Diagolon Raises Concern Security Agencies Infiltrated

“Activists are receiving backlash, being labelled as antisemitic, and facing various consequences for shouting chants such as, ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,’ as well as calling for ‘intifada.’

OTTAWA – The Israel-Hamas war has led to a spike in “violent rhetoric” from “extremist actors” that could prompt some in Canada to turn to violence, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service warns.

The statement comes as newly released documents illustrate discussions last fall between the spy agency, the federal Public Safety Department and Muslim and Jewish leaders about responding to a reported uptick in hate crimes spurred by the conflict.

“While the long-term impacts of the current crisis cannot be easily predicted, it is clear that this conflict has raised tensions within our society,” wrote spokesman Eric Balsam.

Union leaders pledge support for U of T anti-Israel encampment, urge ‘consequences’ for dissenters

Public union leaders across the province have pledged their unwavering support for the anti-Israel encampment established at the University of Toronto last week.

On Thursday, U of T administrators notified activists that any demonstrations on private school property after 10 p.m. could result in legal consequences. The warning prompted the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario and three local chapters to release a solidarity statement.

Iran’s Dangerous New Terror Proxy: Sudan

Iran’s Encirclement of Israel, Control of Red Sea, Almost Complete

While the Biden administration is preoccupied trying to win re-election this November, as well as putting out a series of fires it helped start in Ukraine, the Middle East and the Indo-Pacific, a new area of urgent concern, largely flying under the public’s radar, has been brewing: Iran’s increasing penetration of Sudan.

Pocketing Sudan would provide Iran with more oil, gold and rare minerals, as well as another port on Red Sea from which to continue blocking maritime commercial passage. Sudan would also provide Iran with proximity to Israel, and serve as an additional launching pad from which to swarm Israel with more lethal drone attacks – at least until its nuclear weapons program is complete.

WARMINGTON: Like the Middle East, Toronto’s ‘Little Gaza’ is separated by fence

They have created their own little Gaza strip — a caliphate right in the heart of Canada itself.

To get into walled-in “Little Gaza,” an accepted entrant must present their credentials through an unofficial passport control border-point gate staffed by security, wearing Arab-style keffiyehs, which cover their faces and identities.

Pro-Palestianian protesters are backed by a surprising source: Biden’s biggest donors

President Joe Biden has been dogged for months by pro-Palestinian protesters calling him “Genocide Joe” — but some of the groups behind the demonstrations receive financial backing from philanthropists pushing hard for his reelection.

The donors include some of the biggest names in Democratic circles: Gates, Soros, Rockefeller and Pritzker, according to a POLITICO analysis.

Who is paying for the American campus protests?

There has been an undeniable influx of money from overseas into the most prestigious universities in the United States. For almost 20 years, a central player in this development has been Qatar.

Over the past few weeks, dramatic scenes of mob action have unfolded across dozens of campuses across the United States.

Large groups of students, faculty and professional agitators have taken over major swaths of quads and other areas to voice support for the Hamas terror organization and to intimidate pro-Israeli and Jewish students. These protests have often taken the form of encampments in central locations on university grounds, which have prevented Jewish students from accessing classes and other facilities.

Pro-Hamas law students paying the price

For seven months, since Oct. 7, university students have been enjoying revolutionary cosplay. Their faces swathed in Arafat scarves, they wave flags, demand Israel disinvestment, scream mantras premised in genocide of Jews: Living entirely in the moment, they find it all tremendously exhilarating. That there may be an eventual downside to their conduct doesn’t seem to occur to them.

So it came as a shock to some law students in the U.S. that certain pro-Hamas public pronouncements they put their name to following the Oct 7 pogrom of Israeli civilians might affect their post-university careers.

Affirmative action at work.

The women cheering on Hamas rapists are an insult to feminism

At the height of the Black Lives Matter movement, the mythical figure of the “Karen” rose to prominence. A Karen was a middle-class woman entitled by her “white privilege”, whose main crime seemed to be a predilection for complaining to the manager, and demanding basic competence when paying for services.

For all the loathing she received on social media, Karen was harmless. Her successor is not. This woman throngs university campuses, leading protests, wrapped up in keffiyehs and a face covering, passionately crying out for what she calls freedom fighters and their “just war” against Zionist apartheid, genocide and occupation, and the general existence of the Jewish state.

I will never tire of Ms. Slutzky
