By the time repeat violent offender Oral Carver Lewis threatened to kill an Ontario Crown prosecutor, he had already been under a deportation order for two years.

“You b–ch, I’m going to kill you,” he told her during court in January 2022. “You watch, I’m going to f–king kill you…. When I get out of jail, I’m going to kill you, Crown. I’m going to find you and kill you. I’m going to kill you the f–k.” A few months earlier, he made vulgar comments to her and pulled his pants down in court, exposing himself.

Jamie Sarkonak: New Liberal ‘inclusion’ council heralds more division

On Wednesday, Canadian Identity and Culture Minister Marc Miller announced that he’ll be assembling a committee to come up with a “common narrative” to hold our rapidly diversifying nation together.

This new Advisory Council on Rights, Equality and Inclusion is just the latest initiative that makes some kind of vague promise to unite Canadians and, in Miller’s words, “ensure that every person feels included.” If it feels like the 30th time the Liberals have done something like this, well, you’re probably not far off. Diversity is always our strength, but diversity also perpetually needs to be solved.

Mayor ‘used Urdu to help son hide video evidence of rape’

A former town mayor helped her son to hide evidence when he was arrested at her home for raping a 15-year-old girl, a court was told.

Naheed Ejaz, 61, who had recently completed her one-year term as mayor of Bracknell Forest in Berkshire, allegedly refused to let police officers into her home when they came to arrest her son, Diwan Khan, 41.

The Labour councillor delayed the officers’ entry for “some minutes” and spoke to her son in Urdu to assist him in hiding his phone, which allegedly had a video of the sex attack on it, the court was told.

Two of the usual suspects face gun charges after latest Surrey shooting

Two foreign nationals are facing firearms charges after a shooting incident early Monday in Surrey.

At about 3:50 a.m., officers from a group that patrols neighbourhoods and businesses that have been targeted by extortions and shootings heard what sounded like a gunshot in the area of 129th Street and 84th Avenue. The officers quickly spotted and pulled over a vehicle and arrested the driver and a passenger.

Indian gangs are terrorising Canada

South Asian communities across Canada are being terrorised by gangs – and city officials in Surrey, BC are calling on the federal government to declare a national state of emergency.

The crimes follow a distinctive pattern. South Asian gangs demand money from members of their own communities. Intimidation, threats and even shootings follow. Gang members drive to someone’s home or business, and video themselves shooting at buildings and vehicles. They then post the recording online or send it to the target, with threats of worse to come if payment is not made.

“Canadian National” Ramanan Pathmanathan Pleads Guilty to Sexually Exploiting Over 100 Children Online

A Canadian national pleaded guilty today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after admitting he sexually exploited over 100 children by creating an online persona and targeting them on social media.

Ramanan Pathmanathan, 40, of Toronto, Canada, pleaded guilty to the production of child pornography and to coercion and enticement of a minor. Pathmanathan was arrested on Dec. 3, 2025, after being temporarily surrendered to the United States, where he has remained incarcerated pending trial.

Ramanan Pathmanathan: A 40-year-old Toronto man who pleaded guilty in a U.S. court on January 30, 2026, for the sexual exploitation of over 100 children online. He was previously sentenced to 12 years in Canada for similar offenses in 2022 but was released to offend again under Canada’s ludicrous justice system.

Indian man spared automatic deportation after assaulting B.C. girlfriend

An Indian man who attacked his girlfriend while living in Kamloops, B.C., on a work permit won’t be headed back to India thanks to a judge’s ruling.

Joyson Lewis pleaded guilty on Jan. 22 in Kamloops provincial court to one count of assault. According to prosecutors, the 25-year-old got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend in a vehicle on April 28, 2025.

Most Britons lack trust in people with “different values” or from “different cultures”

Three in four people in the UK are “unwilling or hesitant” to trust someone who has different values or is from a different cultural background, according to a survey.

Distrust “is the new default instinct” in UK society, according to the Edelman Trust Barometer, which examines the trust that people have in business, government, media and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Its report revealed a deepening erosion of trust as “grievance has devolved into insularity” across the developed world.

Suspect in B.C. double murder arrived on student visa weeks before, Crown prosecutor says

A murder trial has heard that Arnold and Joanne De Jong hosted a “joyful” family celebration at their Abbotsford, B.C., home, on May 8, 2022, with a family member later telling police they were “alive and well” when she left at 10 p.m.

But when family members couldn’t reach them the next day, a son-in-law visited and found Joanne De Jong dead before calling police, who quickly determined they were dealing with a double homicide, Crown prosecutor Dorothy Tsui said.

… Tsui said one of the suspects, Gurkaran Singh, had arrived in Canada on a student visa on April 16, less than a month before the killings.
