Most Young Canadians Who Support Socialism Not Willing to Pay the Taxes That Go With It: Study

While two in five Canadians overall subscribe to the idea of socialism—with that number even higher for younger Canadians—few are willing to pay for the tax increases required to finance such a system, says a study by the Fraser Institute.

Among 1,006 Canadians aged 18–34 surveyed, 46 percent of respondents picked socialism when asked “What is the ideal economic system.” The number drops to 43 percent among respondents aged 35–54, and to 38 percent among those over 55.

The study, done by Leger for the Institute in the fall of 2022, also found socialism support drops to 38% among Canadians over the age of 55.

Just Like ‘Real’ Socialism, ‘Real Feudalism’ Has Never Been Tried

If we judge a political system purely on its promises rather than its actual consequences, why not give feudalism another shot?

The lines of ink of the Communist Manifesto, published 175 years ago today, have led to oceans of blood. Since Karl Marx issued his promise that workers who embrace communism “have nothing to lose but their chains,” regimes inspired by his philosophy have afflicted hundreds of millions of people — including the workers who are supposed to benefit from communism — with things worse than chains: gulags, famines, and firing squads.

Ottawa Karens Report On Convoy Impact Concludes No One In World History Has Ever Suffered So Much As They

People’s commission report on 2022 convoy protest describes ‘human rights’ failure by officials

Facing an occupation of their neighbourhoods in January and February 2022, the people of downtown Ottawa were abandoned by police and all three levels of government, an abdication of responsibility that was nothing less than a human rights failure.

The Murderous Soviet Union Was Born a Century Ago

Alas, its terrible descendants still survive in Asia.

Acentury ago, on December 30, 1922, Russia signed treaties with Ukraine, Byelorussia (now Belarus), and Transcaucasia (combining Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia) to form the Soviet Union. The latter continued to expand, reaching its apogee after swallowing Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania as part of Moscow’s booty from the Hitler-Stalin pact.

Of course, the 1922 treaty was not really the start of the USSR, but rather, the end of the beginning.

Bitter legacy of Stasi spy who put party over family

Fifty Christmasses ago a 15-year-old boy and his father slipped into the nerve centre of the West German government, dispensing presents of wine and cognac to the doorkeeper and the caretaker.

In the darkness they walked together through the half-deserted corridors, stopping to look in on the cabinet room and the few senior officials who were still at their desks on Christmas Eve. It was one of their last happy shared memories.

Sixteen months later the father, Günter Guillaume — the right-hand man to Willy Brandt, the country’s hugely charismatic chancellor — was arrested and convicted of spying for East Germany’s secret police, the Stasi.

Is Trudeau Pursuing A Communist-Style Canadian Land Grab?

Liberalism built its political order on private property, consecrating it as a natural right, while Communism emerged as liberalism’s political rival and historic arch-enemy.”

Thus it is that land ownership is a defining factor in systems of governance. The socialization of property in  20th century communist regimes such as Soviet Union, China, and Cuba was fundamental in their transition to authoritarianism.

Was Mom A Communist Informer? How A Film Tore A Bulgarian Family Apart

SOFIA — At the end of I See Red People, a 2018 documentary that follows a young Bulgarian woman’s search into her family’s communist past, the mother of the filmmaker reprimands her daughter: “My truth,” she says, “does not belong to you.”

By that point, relations between director Bojina Panayotova and her mother, Milena Makarius, are at rock bottom following the discovery, over the course of filming, that her mother was listed in the state archives as a collaborator of the communist-era secret police.

Prominent Pro-Abortion Group Appears To Be Front For Radical Revolutionary Communists

A prominent pro-abortion activist group downplaying its association with the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) shares significant infrastructure and leadership with the radical outfit’s other offshoot groups, a Daily Caller analysis has found.

Although RiseUp4AbortionRights seems like most other pro-abortion groups at first glance, other pro-abortion activists released a statement in late June asserting that RiseUp is a front for a “pyramid scheme” and cult of personality. The Daily Caller’s examination of the organization’s leaders, online presence, and fundraising platforms lend credence to the claim that RiseUp is an offshoot front group for the RCP.

Marxists Are Killing Each Other to Control America’s Cocaine Market

The deadliest Marxist guerrilla force is fighting the biggest socialist regime.

“Socialism, this is the path to save the planet, I don’t have the least doubt. Capitalism is the road to hell,” Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez told the 2009 Copenhagen climate conference.

Rhetoric like that won the socialist dictator the admiration of socialists from Barack Obama to Noam Chomsky. But the dirty little secret of the socialist revolution in Venezuela was that it was a front for a massive drug smuggling operation. Chavez and his successor, Nicolas Maduro, gutted Venezuela’s rich oil resources and turned the country into a socialist drug cartel.

UN Warns Individualistic Conservatives Threaten the Planet

Save the world from free speech. Before it’s too late.

If you blinked you might have missed the momentous occasion of the release of the second part of the UN IPCC’s sixth assessment report of how we’re all going to die unless we all board jets and attend global warming conferences. Or give lots of money to those officials who do it for us.

Since no one reads these things anyway, by the time the fourteenth chapter of the second part of the sixth assessment rolled around, everyone was drunk and decided to take shots at conservatives.

Are You a Commie Pinko? Take the Quiz!

Should EVERYONE take this quiz? No. For instance, if you were angered at the Canadian truckers having fun in hot tubs, enjoying pig roasts, and playing hockey in what is possibly the world’s most peaceful protest, but cheered on Antifa and BLM as they shot 12 cops and then shot 12 more, and caused over $1 billion in damage, well, you should save time and start learning the Chinese alphabet.
