AMSTERDAM, Oct 25 (Reuters) – The Dutch government may impose new coronavirus restrictions to reduce pressure on hospitals struggling to deal with a swelling number of COVID-19 patients, Health Minister Hugo de Jonge said on Monday.
Coronavirus infections in the Netherlands have been rising for a month and reached their highest level since July in recent days, after most social distancing measures were dropped in late September.
No one seems curious about the prevalence of the disease in an almost fully vaccinated population.

In the Republic of Ireland, however, health officials are running out of people to blame. This has becoming embarrassingly obvious in County Waterford. As reported in the Irish Times, the nation’s establishment newspaper, two of the three most COVID-infected electoral areas in Ireland are located in the county “with the highest rate of vaccination in the country.” In Waterford, a remarkable 99.7 percent of adults over the age of 18 is fully vaccinated.

Industry insiders and experts are predicting double-digit percentage price hikes on certain food and consumer goods in 2022, continuing the current trend of a rising cost of living.

Ontario reports 326 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths
Ontario is reporting just over 300 new COVID-19 cases today and no new virus-related deaths.

Ontario school board staff claiming medical exemptions for COVID-19 vaccines at far higher rate than expected
Employees at 45 of Ontario’s largest school boards have presented medical exemptions for the COVID-19 vaccine at a rate 42 times higher on average than the exemption rate the province’s top doctor says would be expected in the general population.
A Star analysis of immunization data at these boards has found that 521 staff members have provided a documented medical reason for not being fully vaccinated out of 247,335 total individuals covered by the boards’ vaccination disclosure policies. That works out to a rate of about one in 475 people.
Ontario court issues interim injunction against UHN vaccine mandate
The Ontario Superior Court has issued an interim injunction against the University Health Network’s (UHN) attempts to terminate a group of unvaccinated employees.
Not a lot to be excited about… it’s temporary, applies to a small number of staff, and it’s not even a given if the court has jurisdiction to hear a case of this type.
Considering the continued scientific research showing vaccinated and unvaccinated people can both carry, shed and transmit the COVID-19 virus, the entire precept behind COVID passports makes no sense.
In Queensland, Australia, the state government contracted and built COVID Quarantine Camps to the West of Brisbane in a place near Toowoomba. However, with 70% of the population now vaccinated, and with a large majority of all Australian citizens now vaccinated, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk was recently questioned about the need for a 1,000 bed involuntary quarantine camp as the state is opening up.

We respectfully submit this open letter to express our most sincere concerns and resolute stand against the forced coercive medical intervention of Canadians, and against the undue discrimination experienced by those exercising their lawful right to bodily autonomy. We are not against vaccinations, but as law enforcement officers, we cannot in good conscience willingly participate in enforcing mandates that we believe go against the best interests of the people we protect.
The central statistic in this whistleblower story is important. In a community with a 50% vaccination rate, 90% of the hospital admissions were vaccinated patients, and most of the critical care hospital intakes were within 14 days of the patient taking the vaccine. An alarmed physicians assistant began reporting those issues into the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting system until the hospital administration stepped in to stop her from recording the frequency. She felt obligated to become a whistleblower.
In the logistics and delivery industry, it’s called the “last mile” problem. The greatest number of complications usually occur during the final steps of getting a package to your door.
I think that’s where we’re at with the pandemic. We’re close to the last mile and that’s what’s making so many people testy.
An internal government analysis on the Canada Recovery Benefit says the majority of recipients who received the federal help were continuous or repeat beneficiaries of the now-ended aid program.
