The Century Initiative has nothing to offer Canada apart from hubris, desperation and bad ideas. As the G7 Summit concludes in Alberta, a province that is key to unlocking true Canadian prosperity and dynamism, Canada cannot afford to listen to those who helped push the country into stagnation.

Last week, Century Initiative CEO Lisa Lalande penned an op-ed in the Toronto Star that not only attacked the federal government’s immigration cuts but also natural resources as a tool of economic growth.

Carney hired his pal Mark Wiseman as an advisor. He is a founder of the nation destroying Century Initiative determined to turn Canada into a 3rd world shithole.

Mass immigration is nothing more than an exploitive policy for profit scam by our elites and you and I are merely collateral damage.

I wonder where in the world Wiseman and Carney will choose to live after they succeed in turning Canada into an ungovernable dumpster fire.

‘Invisible poor’: Middle-income households making up to $125K annually getting squeezed out of the GTHA

The working middle class in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area – a group that includes teachers, nurses and other essential workers – have become “the invisible poor” and could soon be squeezed out of the region due to the ongoing housing crisis, a new report suggests.

On Tuesday, CivicAction published the first instalment of a four-part research series delving into the challenges middle-income workers in the GTHA face.

The authors of the report defined middle class workers as those making anywhere between $40,000 and $125,000 annually, based on data from Statistics Canada.

When I was asked to address members of the immigration division of the Canadian Bar Association, I expected an audience of maybe 25 to 50 lawyers.

Canada’s unemployment rate could hit 7.5 per cent as more newcomers are admitted to the country than expected after the government made massive cuts last year to its immigrant targets, says a new report.

“Visa approvals for temporary residents have picked up, which suggests that, rather than contracting as the government previously outlined, the population will continue to grow this year,” Harry Chambers, an assistant economist at Capital Economics Ltd., said in a note. “This will keep upward pressure on labour force growth and we now expect the unemployment rate to peak at 7.5 per cent, rather than seven per cent.”

Citizenship by descent legislation: Liberal Party dreams up new way to cheapen Canadian citizenship & swamp the country with incompatible cultures

The federal government has tabled a new bill that would allow Canadians born abroad to pass citizenship by descent to children born overseas via a test to prove family ties to the country.

Bill C-3 is meant to satisfy a court order that has ruled the current two-generation cut-off provisions of the Citizenship Act is unconstitutional because it limits the automatic passage of citizenship to the first generation of Canadians who were born outside Canada.

“Citizenship is more than a legal status — it’s a profound connection to the values, history and spirit of Canada,” Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab said in statement on Thursday.

Sabrina Maddeaux: The U.K. Labour Party is finally doing something on immigration. Why can’t Canada?
