And… sure. This is an I-Told-You-So.
Haven’t watched the downward societal spiral in Britain for a while now, I’m not quite prepared to say they are on the cusp of an…well…’awakening,’ per se.
But there does seem to be a different feel in the air. A different undertone to much of the same rhetoric that’s been spoken and written after one of these horrific atrocities is committed. British people might express some frustration or even anger publicly, British politicians invariably get their prickly backsides up, issuing ‘Now, now’ lectures and blaming the aggrieved citizens for objecting to the blood in their streets.
A water cannon has been deployed to disperse a large crowd after a second night of disorder in Northern Ireland following the Belfast knife attack.
Riot police came under sustained attack from a group throwing bricks, bottles and pieces of wood at a major roundabout to the north-west of Belfast.
Additional officers were drafted in but Wednesday’s disorder was not on the same scale as Tuesday’s violence.

People have been forced to flee their homes in Belfast amid disorder following a knife attack.
Houses and cars have been set on fire and all public transport has been paused in the city.
A 30-year-old Sudanese man is due to appear in court on Wednesday charged with attempted murder following the attack in north Belfast on Monday night.

IN THE wake of US Vice President JD Vance’s comments about the ‘invasion of migrants’ in Europe, we now have the US defence secretary Pete Hegseth likening recent sea arrivals in Europe to an ‘invasion’, warning that freedoms won in 1944 remain under threat.
Hegseth’s remarks were delivered at the American Colleville-sur-Mer cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach in Normandy during commemorations of the 82nd anniversary of the D-Day landings.

I am crying. It is hard to write down the circumstances of the death of Henry Nowak without crying. Each time I think about how that young man met his end, I find myself consumed with sadness and a sense of raging disbelief. I admit I’ve become somewhat obsessed with the case because Henry’s murder, and the way Hampshire Police not only failed to help him but actively supported his killer to the point where they handcuffed the 18-year-old student and cruelly mocked him as he drowned in his own blood, is emblematic of how Britain has lost its way.
Does anyone in the GTA believe they can trust the police, I mean anyone who isn’t a government designated victim group enjoying two tiered policing and justice.
