The deceased criminal suspect, Winston Boogie Smith, whom some Minneapolis residents rioted and looted on behalf of Thursday evening, turns out to have been a convicted felon, habitual criminal and woman beater.
“Smith’s criminal record includes 20 convictions, mostly for minor traffic and parking violations, plus three marijuana charges — and [an] aggravated robbery conviction in which his ex-girlfriend was beaten until her face was swollen and bloody, court documents show,” Fox News confirmed Friday
MORE … Members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force were trying to arrest Smith on a warrant for allegedly being a felon in possession of a gun.
Authorities said Smith fired a gun before two deputies shot him while he was inside a parked vehicle.
Family and friends described Smith as a father of three often harassed by police. They demanded transparency in the investigation and asked that anyone who might have video footage should come forward.
Another BLM Saint!
The man who was fatally shot by Minneapolis cops Thursday had been wanted in connection with a felony arms conviction and been involved in at least 20 previous run-ins with authorities, according to records and a report.
Winston Boogie Smith, 32, was gunned down in the Midwest city around 2 p.m. when he “produced a handgun” as members of a US Marshals task force tried to take him into custody on the state warrant, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department said.

Angry protesters lit fires, looted stores and taunted cops in Minneapolis Thursday after officers shot and killed a man — who was a fugitive who whipped out a handgun when authorities closed in on him.
Members of a US Marshals task force were attempting to arrest the unidentified man around 2 p.m. on a state warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm, authorities said.

They’re right to boo the taking of the knee – it has become a ridiculous, sanctimonious spectacle.
Once again football fans have scandalised the chattering classes. This time it wasn’t their rude chanting, naked torsos or St George’s tattoos that caused the clipped-tones set to spill their infused tea. It was the fact that they said ‘boo’. More specifically that they said boo as football players took the knee. And as we all know, blaspheming against BLM is one of the greatest sins you can commit in the woke epoch – it’s right up there with referring to people with penises as men.

Prosecutors are seeking a 30-year prison sentence for Derek Chauvin, the ex-cop convicted of murdering George Floyd — while his defense wants him released on probation, according to new court documents.
In a new filing Wednesday, prosecutors urged Judge Peter Cahill to go with the lengthy sentence — which is twice the upper limit of Minnesota guidelines — because the murder “shocked the nation’s conscience.”

City crews on Thursday removed vehicle barriers and portions of the sprawling memorial at the south Minneapolis intersection where George Floyd was killed by police more than a year ago.
Municipal workers began the process about 4:30 a.m. at 38th and Chicago — dubbed George Floyd Square — with community representatives involved in coordinating the removal of flowers, artwork and variously sized barriers and shacks, said city spokeswoman Sarah McKenzie.
While the task was complete in less than four hours, protesters who have occupied the intersection weren’t ready to yield. They worked to build new barricades along the streets leading to the square, using a commercial dumpster, furniture, parked vans and other materials. The center of the intersection was occupied by about 150 people. No traffic was coming through.

The Black Lives Matter founder could give expert-level classes on the victimhood mentality
Patrisse Cullors co-founded Black Lives Matter on faux victimhood. In her Thursday announcement that she would be resigning from the organization, she once again demonstrated what she does best.
For those unfamiliar, Cullors has been the subject of negative headlines for the past few months. Her Marxist street cred first came under fire when reports surfaced in April that she had gone on a luxury home-buying spree totaling $3.2 million.

The founder of a Black Lives Matter chapter in St. Paul, Minnesota, said that the left-wing organization engages in a form of racism because it opposes school choice.
Rashard Turner, who left Black Lives Matter, released a video last week saying he learned the “ugly truth” about the group operates and claimed that “they had little concern for rebuilding black families, and they cared even less about improving the quality of education for students in Minneapolis.”
She doesn’t want to just defund the police — she wants to abolish them.
Black Lives Matter founder Patrisse Cullors has been in the news a lot lately because of controversy over her income and financial dealings, including recent purchases of several new homes. Cullors lashed out at these criticisms by protesting, “The fact that the right-wing media is trying to create hysteria around my spending is, frankly, racist and sexist.”
PORTLAND, Ore. — The church, on the edge of this city, was built to hold thousands, and on this drizzly day the pews of Mannahouse were filled with hundreds of mourners, scattered throughout the broad, high-ceilinged chamber to comply with pandemic rules.
Nearly all of them were Black.
They had gathered to memorialize Jalon Yoakum, 33, whose body lay in a clear casket at the front of the stage. The wounds on his face had been brushed over; a blue suit and white open-collar shirt hid the rest of the scars from the daylight gunshots that killed him in a pizza restaurant parking lot this month.
Portland is a White city, overwhelmingly so — African Americans account for just 6 percent of the population. But it is Black people such as Yoakum, an aspiring union electrician, who are dying at near-historic rates and filling churches with grief.

The left-wing organization Black Lives Matter saw its popularity fall from unprecedented heights over the last year, not because Americans learned of its stated marxist agenda or corruption, but because of “increased politicization by elites” in the Republican Party, according to an in-depth profile from the legacy media.

A Black Lives Matter chapter founder in Minnesota has resigned, claiming that the organization isn’t concerned about helping black communities or helping improve the education quality in Minneapolis, according to a video published last week.
Rashard Turner, the founder of a Black Lives Matter chapter in neighboring St. Paul, said he started the branch in 2015 but became disillusioned roughly a year after becoming “an insider” within the left-wing organization, according to a video released by TakeCharge—a group that rejects various provisions promoted by Black Lives Matter, including critical race theory-linked claims that the United States is inherently racist.

A former Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist recently spoke out about why he chose to leave the organization. In a short YouTube video, he explained that the group is not as concerned about safeguarding and improving black lives as they would have us believe.

It’s hard to imagine a bigger and more politically inconvenient mess than this one. But that’s what happens when you license racial shakedowns.
The shakedowns just get bigger and bigger until no one can afford to pay them. The only thing missing is Al Sharpton.

The main event commemorating the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot, featuring singer John Legend and politician Stacey Abrams, had to be canceled because lawyers for the survivors demanded more money than previously agreed, organizers said.
The ‘Remember and Rise’ ceremony was canceled on Friday, with the organizers blaming “unexpected circumstances with entertainers and speakers.”
Some activists were quick to pin the blame on threats of “white terrorism,” pointing to reports of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) bulletin alleging possible violence at the event.
