It’s not often that actors talk sense or deviate from liberal-left orthodoxies when speaking on politics, so when they do so, we ought to take notice. And when a thespian makes not one, but two, reasonable points in a single interview, it’s really time to sit up and pay attention.
In an interview in the latest edition of Radio Times, Christopher Eccleston, best-known for his starring roles in Doctor Who, Our Friends in the North and Hillsborough, talks of ‘a great trend in drama at the moment for antagonists who are toxic, white, apparently heterosexual, late-middle-aged men.’
If Canada is systemically racist — as the political establishment insists — why is it one of the most sought-after destinations on Earth? Year after year, demand to enter this country remains extraordinarily high. Over 400,000 people became permanent residents in 2023, and even after reductions, nearly 395,000 arrived in 2025.
The vast majority of these immigrants come from countries which diaspora lobbies maintain Canada has historically prejudiced. Whether from India, China, or the Middle East, these groups frequently invoke past injustices inflicted by the Canadian state.

In the process they virtually criminalize opposition to mass immigration declaring dissent racist.

A recent poll reveals that 67% of French people see “anti-white racism” as a reality in France today.
Conducted by the CSA Institute for CNEWS, Le JDD, and Europe 1, it shows that France is divided on the question. While the majority of those polled acknowledges the phenomenon, voters on the left largely reject the idea: 64% of those supporting the far-left La France Insoumise and 72% of Green party supporters disagree with the hypothesis.
The real conspiracy is white people.
Like ice hockey and white wine, the X-Files was just too white. Its leads were white which really meant that it was a white supremacist series. Successive governments have ignored his warnings that England’s schools are failing white working-class boys. This week, Lord Sewell will tell Keir Starmer that ‘boys from the poorest homes are still stuck at the bottom of the class’ and are outperformed by every other group.
In Quebec, government-sponsored racial discrimination is totally OK — as long as it’s directed at white people.
That’s the conclusion of the province’s human rights tribunal last week, having examined the case of a bird conservation non-profit, QuébecOiseaux, which refused to consider applications from white people for a temporary position in 2021.
In the span of just three days, Barbara Perry, director of the government-funded Centre on Hate, Bias and Extremism, appeared in two major media pieces. On March 12, she gave a lengthy interview warning of a “fairly high threat level” driven almost exclusively by right-wing extremism and “Active Clubs.” On March 15, CBC Saskatchewan ran a 48-minute segment titled “Have you noticed a rise in anti-immigrant and anti-semitic sentiment?” that again spotlighted Perry alongside reporter Eric Szeto and Canadian Race Relations Foundation CEO Muhammad Hashim.

A former editor at Vogue stormed out of a first-class cabin on an American Airlines flight because all of the other passengers were “white, middle-aged men”.
Gabriella Karefa-Johnson “downgraded” herself to business class on the flight from the US to Milan, in part because of the way she felt she was being treated by a member of the cabin crew.
“I just downgraded myself from first class to business class on my flight to Milan. In a cabin of 6, 5 of the passengers were white middle-aged men,” she wrote on Threads, the social media site.
Should the Equality Act 2010 be scrapped? Last week, Reform UK set the cat among the pigeons in the Leftie Blob by pledging to do just that. Transport for London (TfL) has had to pull part of its latest video campaign against harassment of female passengers because, in the offending clip, the man who was shown pestering a woman happened to be black (while the woman happened to be white). And, after receiving a single complaint from the public, the Advertising Standards Authority ruled that the clip “had the effect of perpetuating a negative racial stereotype about black men as perpetrators of threatening behaviour”.

The Romans can be studied without apology. Vikings are marketed with cinematic enthusiasm. Celts are endlessly romanticised, their mystique carefully preserved. But introduce the Anglo-Saxons, the civilisation-forming population that gave England (and, consequently, much of the world) its language, law, and cultural and political seedbeds, and just watch the institutional mood darken. Cambridge and Nottingham Universities are just the latest to have found the very phrase ’Anglo-Saxon’ sticking in their institutional throats.
Culturally, self-flagellation has become a civic virtue; institutions once central to national life now frame their own founding stock as the problem to be solved.
The British countryside is “too white.” At least that is, according to Defra—the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, as reported earlier this month in these pages. Following a report in 2019, National Landscapes—a charity mostly funded by Defra—has been launching outreach programs aimed at encouraging ethnic minorities to break the stranglehold of “white communities,” “white spaces,” and “white environments.”
