FUREY: Trudeau’s now being laughed at — the reaction no politician wants

There’s a rule of thumb in politics that goes something like it’s OK to be feared, disliked or even loathed just so long as you’re not being laughed at and mocked.

Yet that’s where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is now finding himself after being teased for his new haircut. The comparisons came in right away: Trudeau’s close-cropped new look made him a dead ringer for Jim Carrey in Dumb & Dumber. If you haven’t seen the film, the title tells you all you need to know. It’s not good to be compared to this character.

I suspect Junior is Kathleen Wynne 2.0.

In her last election campaign everyone tuned her out.

The damage she and McGuinty inflicted on the brand reduced the Liberals to fringe status.

Let’s hope Junior masters the same party trick.

Police say they don’t want to ‘create panic’ as up to 1,000 Hells Angels roll through Ontario

Police east of Toronto say they are expecting to see as many as 1,000 Hells Angels members as the club holds its national motorcycle run this weekend.

“We do not want to create panic,” Durham Regional Police Service Deputy Chief Dean Bertrim said at a news conference Monday ahead of the event. “But we have an obligation, and in all fairness, I have a responsibility, to make sure that our community is aware and provided the accurate information.”

Fewer shootings than in Toronto expected.

Serial canceled pol Brown says Conservative Party would ‘manufacture anything’ to oust him from leadership campaign

Patrick Brown says the Conservative Party did not want a competitive leadership election and would have made up any story necessary to disqualify him from the race to succeed Erin O’Toole.

Since he was ousted from the leadership race earlier this month over alleged violations of campaign finance laws, Brown has repeatedly claimed his removal was due to corruption within the party and collusion with the campaign of leadership front-runner Pierre Poilievre. Both the party and Poilievre’s campaign deny this.

“The party would have manufactured anything to disqualify me from the race,” Brown said on CBC News Network’s Power & Politics on Monday.

Prince Harry Uses U.N. Pulpit to Assail World Leaders for ‘Assault on Democracy,‘ Lecture on U.S. Politics

Prince Harry was backed by his wife Meghan Markle on Monday as they visited United Nations headquarters in New York and he used a keynote speech to excoriate those gathered for the state of the world, “from the horrific war in Ukraine to the rolling back of constitutional rights here in the United States.”

He wants to see the monarchy destroyed.

Was Mom A Communist Informer? How A Film Tore A Bulgarian Family Apart

SOFIA — At the end of I See Red People, a 2018 documentary that follows a young Bulgarian woman’s search into her family’s communist past, the mother of the filmmaker reprimands her daughter: “My truth,” she says, “does not belong to you.”

By that point, relations between director Bojina Panayotova and her mother, Milena Makarius, are at rock bottom following the discovery, over the course of filming, that her mother was listed in the state archives as a collaborator of the communist-era secret police.

Why did the ACLU push for gender self-ID in prisons?

A change in prison policy towards trans inmates had a predictable result

News that a women’s prison in New Jersey has recently moved a transgender prisoner to a male facility after impregnating two females highlights a grim fact: that the movement we once knew as the Left has been colonised by an elite campaign to abolish material reality to the detriment of everyone else.

Americans want their fossil fuel economy back, Joe -poll

Joe Biden who campaigned to shut down the fossil fuel industry, and carried through on that promise through his stroke-of-a-pen shutdown of the Keystone XL pipeline and issuance of some 30 regulations to hamper domestic fuel production, has stuck to his policy like a jackass to glue. He’s made America energy-dependent again, in a major shift from its previous status as a fully self-sufficient energy exporter. He says it’s all about going green.

Canada did not have to violate its own sanctions against Russia

Canada’s decision to ship a turbine from Montreal to Germany for use on Russia’s Nord Stream pipeline is an unacceptable and unnecessary breach of western sanctions.

The decision was described by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a sign of “weakness” and “absolutely unacceptable.” In Newsweek, a source close to Zelenskyy’s government described the rationale for the exemption as “bizarre and non-sensible,” and the decision itself as “morally bankrupt.”

Always watch what Trudeau does not what he says.

Hunter Biden and the corruption of the liberal media

Hunter Biden

The MSM’s continued downplaying of the Biden scandals is now the biggest scandal of all.

Everything you need to know about the modern liberal media is contained in the following fact. They told us there was a video of Donald Trump consorting with prostitutes, but there wasn’t. And they told us there probably weren’t any videos of Hunter Biden consorting with prostitutes, but there were. The supposedly respectable, ‘reality-based’ media expended far more energy gabbing about a completely mythical video of Trump watching Russian hookers take a leak in a Moscow hotel room in 2013 than they did investigating rumours of real videos showing the current president’s son taking drugs with prostitutes in hotels in Vegas and elsewhere. Fake news about Trump carries more weight than real news about the Bidens in today’s messed-up media.

Children Die When ‘Eco-Lies’ Disrupt the War Against Mosquitoes

The devastating legacy of Rachel Carson’s “Silent Spring.”

I am glad to be alive after a bout with dengue fever. But many across the world are not so fortunate. More than 4000 die each year due to dengue, a severe mosquito-borne disease.

It all began 10 days ago with intense fever. My body consistently clocked above 102 degrees Fahrenheit for 48 hours. Then followed severe pain in every part of the body. Once the fever and aching subsided, the second phase of the struggle began, with the blood platelet count falling dramatically.

‘Hand sanitizer cop’ is REVEALED

His conscience is dirty but his hands are clean.

The identity of the Uvalde officer who used hand sanitizer while a gunman slaughtered 19 children and two teachers down the hall can now be revealed – as he’s seen for the first time since the deadly shooting.

DailyMail.com can reveal the officer dubbed ‘hand sanitizer cop’ is Uvalde County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Gonzales, 30. Exclusive photos show Gonzales attending mass Sunday at the Getty Street Church of Christ in Uvalde, Texas, with his wife and two children.

Upon leaving the morning mass, the casually-dressed cop opened the door of his black Chevy Silverado for his young daughter and wife. He then drove to the local Dairy Queen, went through the drive-thru and spent about 30 minutes in the parking lot before heading back home.

Why Dutch farmers are revolting

An agricultural uprising is shaking the Netherlands

“For many farmers it’s the end of their business and they will fight until the last. Sometimes these farms go back generations, they were built by hand, and people feel farmers heart and soul. This is all being taken away.”

Jan Brok, vice chairman of the BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB) party, understands why Netherlands farmers have spent the past month blockading food distribution centres, roads and ministers’ driveways. They are horrified by a new environmental policy that will mean a likely 30% reduction in livestock.
