In May 2021, Joseph Borgen was violently assaulted by a Muslim mob while walking down the street in midtown Manhattan in the vicinity of an anti-Israel rally. The Jewish man was kicked, punched, pepper sprayed, beaten with a metal object, and ended up in the hospital.
Borgen was taunted as a “dirty Jew” and the assault was caught on video. “They were kicking me in my ribs, my stomach,” he described.
Delta Police Chief Neil Dubord is out with an open letter, criticizing some of B.C.’s legal drug policies as ineffective in the face of the toxic drug crisis.
Dubord writes that while he agrees with the “underlying principles of decriminalization, it is evident in the early evaluation that our communities are currently not experiencing the desired outcome from this policy change.”
He says early numbers indicate the number of drug poisoning deaths have not been going down.

Ottawa offers millions more in housing support to shelter refugees in Toronto
The federal government is injecting additional funding to help Toronto shelter a surge of newly arrived asylum seekers.
After weeks of bickering between Ottawa and city officials over who should foot the bill, Ottawa announced Tuesday an extra $97 million in new funding to help house refugees, many of whom have been camping outside Toronto’s homeless service centre on Peter Street.
According to the city, refugees currently make up a third of Toronto’s 9,000 shelter spaces.

Nike announced Monday that it will permanently cease its sponsorship of Hockey Canada in the wake of its handling of a high-profile alleged group sexual assault case.
The sportswear giant first announced a temporary suspension of support in October of last year, at a time when corporate sponsors Chevrolet Canada, Scotiabank and Canadian Tire had also pulled their financial support.

On Friday afternoon, police in Fargo, North Dakota, responded to a report of a car crash at 9th Avenue South and 25th Street South. Fargo Police Chief David Zibolski said it was a “routine traffic accident,” but what happened when they arrived on the scene was anything but routine. A Fargo resident named Mohamad Barakat, 37, opened fire on the officers, killing one and injuring three others. Zibolski said that Barakat attacked the officers “for no known reason,” and authorities have as yet offered no hints as to the shooter’s motive. One of the most obvious possibilities, however, is being steadfastly ignored, as one might expect given today’s media narrative.

I have always loved road trips. It started in my childhood when every so often my dad would arrive home from work early on a Friday afternoon and holler up the stairs to my mom, “Pack up the car, Marsha! Let’s get out of town!”
My sister and I would be thrilled for the unexpected adventure, heading out from our home in Victoria to wherever was appealing — Washington state, the British Columbia Interior, the Rockies.
In the spring, I purchased a new electric Volkswagen ID.4, which has a range of more than 400 kilometres on a full charge, and thought this was the perfect opportunity for a road trip back to B.C. to move the rest of my belongings to Ontario.
EV’s work fine as city cars but even that won’t last if everyone buys one. There simply isn’t the infrastructure to support mass usage on the scale of ICE vehicles so bear in mind that seperating you from your vehicle is the end-game of the Totalitarian Green Scam.
I am hopeful even docile Canadians will revolt if that twit Trudeau attempts to ban their cars.
The “status symbol” value is sure to drop as the virtue signalers clue in to the fact that they have been lied to and ICE vehicles are much more “green” than EV’s.
I am grateful that my condo does not have the capacity to handle EV charging. I would not want one of these potential fire-bombs parked next to my car.
