Don’t call her Harvey: Chilling jailhouse interview with trans serial killer

“Perfectly Normal”

“You can call me Marceline.”

The 83-year-old alleged serial killer who was born Harvey Marcelin but now identifies as a lesbian named Marceline Harvey is quick-witted, flirtatious and sometimes terrifying when explaining her anger management issues — and her two identities — from behind a glass wall at Rikers Island.

“Harvey’s not a good guy, he’s a tough guy,” she said. “Marceline’s nice and gentle and loving, you know, lots of laughter, fun to be with. She’s the one who’s perfectly normal.”

First ever paid prescription fentanyl program launches in Vancouver

Dr. Christy Sutherland, medical director for PHS Healthcare, the organization running the program, said the goal is to meet substance users where they are at, instead of administering alternatives like Dilaudid that patients may not find helpful.

“The common feedback we had from patients was that they would prefer fentanyl, that we needed to match what they were buying from the drug dealer in order to get them away from that street supply. So we worked as a team to create a new fentanyl option for our patients and community,” she said, speaking on CBC’s On The Coast.

Ottawa and White House in talks to stop future trucker blockades, top U.S. envoy says

OTTAWA —Canada and the U.S. are in detailed security talks to ensure there’s no repeat of trucker blockades led in part by “right-wing extremists” who “wanted to overthrow the government,” says Washington’s envoy to Canada.

Ambassador David L. Cohen said the blockades, particularly at the Windsor-Detroit border in early February, raised “significant concerns” within the Biden administration and among American manufacturers about the reliability of cross-border supply chains.

Cohen strongly condemned the protests and voiced concerns they could happen again. He also said Canada and U.S. government officials are looking at how to eliminate jurisdictional snafus that complicated law enforcement efforts to stop the blockades, along with measures to tackle the disinformation that fuelled the protests in the first place.

Fake federal agent who befriended Secret Service had visas from Iran, claimed ties to Pakistani intelligence

No one’s surprised, right? Certainly you’re not surprised if you read this morning’s post.

Still, there are details here that don’t make sense to me. If these guys are part of an Iranian plot to target U.S. officials, they’d want to be as unobtrusive as possible, right? Make friends with the Secret Service, see what they’ll tell you, but otherwise don’t give your neighbors any reason to be suspicious of you.

That is some kinda weird.

Sacramento mass shooting suspect served less time because whipping girlfriend & dragging her by the hair are considered non-violent offenses in California

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — A suspect arrested in connection with last weekend’s mass shooting outside bars in Sacramento served less than half his 10-year sentence because of voter-approved changes to state law that lessened the punishment for his felony convictions and provided a chance for earlier release.

Smiley Allen Martin was freed in February after serving time for punching a girlfriend, dragging her from her home by her hair and whipping her with a belt, according to court and prison records.

Those count as nonviolent offenses under California law, which considers only about two dozen crimes to be violent felonies — such as murder, rape, arson and kidnapping.

Geico drops Linda Sarsour as a diversity speaker after backlash from Jewish groups

Linda Sarsour and Mentors

The Geico insurance company on Thursday canceled a company event with Linda Sarsour, a prominent pro-Palestinian activist who has been widely accused of antisemitism, after backlash from Jewish groups.

“We apologize to our employees, customers, and others for our initial plan to invite Linda Sarsour to speak at our internal event,” Geico said in a statement.

To me this perfectly illustrates the truth of the “diversity” con.

Sarsour is a known crank. I believe she was chosen by design not by accident.

Europe agrees to ban Russian coal, but continues to buy Russian oil & gas

The European Union nations have agreed to ban Russian coal in the first sanctions on the vital energy industry over the war in Ukraine, but it has underlined the 27 countries’ inability to agree so far on a much more sweeping embargo on oil and natural gas that would hit Russia harder but risk recession at home.

The coal ban should cost Russia 4 billion euros ($4.4 billion) a year, the EU’s executive commission said. Energy analysts and coal importers say Europe could replace Russian supply in a few months from other countries, including the U.S.

WW II was won by buying oil & gas from the Axis

Two men arrested after targeting Secret Service agents in influence operation

US officials have arrested two men who had spent thousands of dollars seeking to influence Secret Service agents.

An affidavit filed with a US district court accused Arian Taherzadeh, 40, and Haider Ali, 36 of posing as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employees.

FBI officials said the men had used the guise to get closer to four agents – one of whom served on first lady Jill Biden’s protection detail.

Revealed: Secret letters sent from Prince Charles to Jimmy Savile begging paedophile DJ to ‘use his straightforward common sense’ to help royals with PR

Prince Charles wrote to depraved child rapist Jimmy Savile to ask him to help with the Royal Family’s ailing image – and boosting his own profile – after a series of PR disasters, newly released letters written by the heir to the throne over 20 years revealed today.

The Prince of Wales lavished praise on the predatory paedophile’s ‘straightforward common sense’ and asked him for advice on improving speeches and helping him with public visits to charities. Charles also asked Savile to advise his sister in law Sarah, the Duchess of York and her gaffe-prone husband Prince Andrew.

The TV star, later revealed to be one of Britain’s worst child abusers who also bragged about performing sex acts on corpses in hospital morgues and stealing glass eyes from the dead for jewellery, even drew up a media relations handbook for Charles, according to the royal’s letters.
