Those who questioned the price tag back then would like to direct you to the White House’s American Rescue Plan webpage, which now celebrates the bill as “one of the most progressive pieces of legislation in history.” The reality is that the Covid recovery bill is being revealed for what it was always intended to be: a slush fund for Biden administration pet projects, giveaways to narrow special interests, and ideological wish lists. The scope of the bait and switch legislation is becoming more evident as the Biden administration continues to dole out those taxpayer dollars.

Saudi Arabia: man arrested after Mecca pilgrimage for Queen

Saudi authorities have arrested a man who claimed to have travelled to the Muslim holy city of Mecca to perform an umrah pilgrimage on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.

The man, a Yemeni national, published a video clip of himself on social media on Monday at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Islam’s holiest site, where non-Muslims are forbidden.

In the clip, he held up a banner saying: “Umrah for the soul of Queen Elizabeth II, we ask God to accept her in heaven and among the righteous.”

New York judge called Hispanic people ‘liars’, gay white men ‘racist f*****s’ and colleagues ‘prostitutes’ before being removed from the bench

A New York judge has been accused of making vile homophobic and racist remarks in her courthouse.

Judge Harriet Thompson allegedly said in the Brooklyn Surrogate Court that homosexuality is an ‘abomination’ and assumed people with a Spanish-sounding name were ‘liars’.

The judge is accused of making the remarks before she was removed from the bench in December last year but they have only just been made public, as she continues her fight to get back her job claiming she is the victim of a ‘political hit’.

Green MPs threatened to leave party if leadership race paused, email to party council says

The Green Party’s two MPs were both prepared to walk away from their party and sit as Independents if the federal council cancelled the party’s leadership race, according to an email forwarded to CBC.

One of MP Mike Morrice’s staff members sent three federal councillors a message on Friday evening urging them not to suspend the leadership race. In addition to warning that the MPs might quit the party, the email also warned against the federal council closing the party’s Ottawa headquarters, a decision that CBC has reported the party may have to make because donations have plummeted.
