Assassin Vance Boelter is sentenced to die in jail for murdering Minnesota Democrat lawmaker and her husband…

The Minnesota man who pleaded guilty to murdering a top Democratic lawmaker and her husband has been sentenced to die in jail over the grisly killing.

Vance Boelter, 59, was handed two consecutive life terms plus 40 years in prison over the murders of House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and the shootings of state Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette, who survived.

Boelter pleaded guilty last month to avoid the death penalty and instead agreed to the maximum sentence he could be issued short of capital punishment.

Canadian prime minister, Mark Carney, recently found himself embroiled in a diplomatic tiff with Trump. Both Carney and Trump have a form of Tourette’s that I recognize all too well. When asked about the forest fires in Ontario, Mark didn’t hesitate in implicating Trump as the climate arsonist. Trump shot back that Mark would not be receiving his tariff deposit back for violating our smoke-free policy.

The Ambassador is a veteran diplomat with decades of experience. He has also founded ProjX Technology Consulting and taught graduate courses at the National Intelligence University. Mr. Switzer has echoed the same critique of Prime Minister Mark Carney as I have already published. In short, he stated that Carney has made the negotiations between Canada and the US personal, has “gone out of his way to be antagonistic,” and that this approach is “political malpractice.”

US signs landmark nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia that could pave the way for domestic nuclear enrichment

The US has signed a landmark nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia that could allow the kingdom to enrich uranium in the future.

In a statement on Wednesday, the US Department of Energy said its secretary, Chris Wright, and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, signed a “peaceful nuclear cooperation agreement”, along with a “bilateral safeguards agreement”.

The full details of the deal have yet to be released, but the timing of the announcement is controversial, as the US’s war with Iran is being fought in part to prevent Tehran enriching uranium domestically and make it near-impossible for Iran to build a nuclear weapon.

Trump’s Apparent Confusion: Who Are Friends of His and Who Are Friends of the West

“Scum” would seem quite fitting to describe the current Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially after Israel informed US President Donald J. Trump that Iran’s leaders are planning to kill him.

It is to be hoped that the US President might now kindly reconsider who his real friends are and who America’s real friends are. A few of President Trump’s “good friends” he has mentioned are the leaders of Qatar, Turkey, Russia and China. They might be friends of his; unfortunately, that does not mean they have at heart the best interests of America or the West. Their definitions of “best interests ” may well consist of what they would like — not necessarily what the Free World might like.

Why America Keeps Choking on Wildfire Smoke

The Midwest and Northeast registered some of the worst air quality in the world last week as wildfire smoke shrouded cities from Minneapolis to New York in an apocalyptic haze. More than 100 million Americans were under air-quality alerts, with smoke even reaching Washington, D.C., by the weekend.

Most of the smoke came from Canada, where about 900 wildfires were burning by Friday. Over 100 were burning in northwestern Ontario alone. Fires are also raging in northern Minnesota and across the western United States, where another brutal fire season is underway. Nearly 80 large fires are uncontained nationwide, and more than 3.9 million acres have burned this year.
