Trump Exhaustion Syndrome has us tuning out

As Spain’s team was basking in its victory at the World Cup medal ceremony on Sunday, Donald Trump had to be nudged offstage by FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

Images of Trump getting the hook went viral, with plenty of cheers for anyone who dared giving this president a timeout. And it didn’t stop there. The Spanish team then went on to crop Trump from the official photo of its World Cup win.

‘Front groups and fellow travelers’: state department attacks US left over Cuba

As part of the Trump administration’s continuing attack on left-leaning groups, the US state department has listed several activists and organizations as “front groups and fellow travelers” for Cuba, including Hasan Piker and the Amazon Labor Union founder Chris Smalls.

In a 100-page report released on Monday, the state department denounces Cuba as the “capital of 21st-century communism”, accusing the Cuban government of carrying out a “campaign of subversion” that has “infiltrated the highest reaches of the US government, recruited and cultivated generations of American activists [and] backed an unprecedented wave of leftwing terrorism on American soil”.

Michael Higgins: Canada-U.S. relations are worse than ever under Carney and Trump

Prime Minister Mark Carney inflicted a damaging blow on Canada-U.S. relations with his Elbows Up shenanigans but this last weekend it was America’s turn take a hammer to the alliance.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was openly gloating at the prime minister being embarrassed over the Gordie Howe Bridge deal while Donald Trump said he was considering demanding Canada pay damages over wildfires in this country.

Widening Divide: Canada Lagging Behind US on per Capita Business Investment, Report Finds

Canada has experienced a sharp decline in business investment per worker over the past decade, in stark contrast to gains in the United States, highlighting a deepening productivity crisis north of the border, a new study suggests.

Inflation-adjusted business investment per Canadian worker fell 18.8 percent from $20,310 in 2014 to $16,493 in 2024, according to findings from the Fraser Institute’s latest study. The United States’s equivalent surged 31.3 percent from $23,263 to $30,555 over the same decade.

Islam and America Are Incompatible

Islam and America Are Incompatible

Patriotic Americans have been celebrating their country’s two-hundred-fiftieth birthday all year.  Although an increasing number of Democrats now despise America and even admit to feeling revulsion at the sight of Old Glory waving in the wind, 2026 has been an incredible opportunity to commemorate in grand fashion America’s founding principles, accomplishments, and enduring legacy.

Canada has become America’s northern security threat

Canada has become America’s northern security threat

Canada’s failed policies are doing more than fouling American air. Summer across the Midwest and East Coast has again brought unhealthy and hazardous air-quality warnings from Canadian wildfires. Poor forest management threatens public health and daily life. Canada’s immigration policies pose a deeper and more lasting danger.

Most Americans still regard Canada as a polite northern extension of the United States: familiar, friendly, and strategically harmless. That view belongs to another era. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has said that “nostalgia is not a strategy.” Neither is complacency.

‘Bunch of rubbish’: Ford responds to Trump over threats of wildfire smoke tariffs

‘Bunch of rubbish’: Ford responds to Trump over threats of wildfire smoke tariffs

Premier Doug Ford says U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to introduce new tariffs on Canada over northern Ontario wildfire smoke that’s drifted south of the border is a “bunch of rubbish.”

“Rather than sit there and complain, why don’t we see some help from President Trump. Send up some water bombers, send up some wildland firefighters, but then again, they have thousands of fires going in the U.S. right now, but you don’t hear Canada ever complain,” Ford said at a news conference Monday.

Trump again threatens tariffs over smoke after sitting with Mark Carney

After sitting together with Prime Minister Mark Carney during Sunday’s World Cup final in New Jersey, U.S. President Donald Trump isn’t letting up on his threat to tariff Canada over wildfire smoke.

Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews on Sunday night, Trump said he has a good relationship with Carney, but the fires need to stop.

He said the fires are poisoning U.S. air, and that maybe Canada should pay damages, or the U.S. should impose tariffs.

Deep State crawls out of the woodwork: Meet former FBI executive Nikki Floris

Deep State crawls out of the woodwork: Meet former FBI executive Nikki Floris

e’ve seen a parade of deep staters over the years, everyone from the FBI lovebirds, Peter Strozk & Lisa Page; to the Brookings Institute’s impeachment crew led by Fiona Hill; to the hideous FBI and Justice Department officials Who Got Away With It — looking at you, Kevin Clinesmith, and you, too, Bruce & Nellie Ohr; to CIA presidential briefing officer Amy McFadden who famously cheered Hamas; to the spies at the heart of the impeachment plot, colluding with Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell, e.g., Eric Ciaramella. All of them did their part to undermine the first Trump presidency.

But the surface has been barely scratched, and these characters were in fact low-hanging fruit. The higher (or deeper) tentacles of the deep state were revealed by President Trump in his address to the nation this week, the speech the media refused to run.

HANNAFORD: Time for Canadian Trump critics to face the China election interference facts

HANNAFORD: Time for Canadian Trump critics to face the China election interference facts

Whatever the ultimate truth of President Donald Trump’s allegations of Chinese meddling in American elections, Canadians have no excuse for the kind of reflexive dismissal in which the CBC indulged Friday. Despite their ruling class’s attempts to hush up and smooth over what they had allowed to happen, Canadians nevertheless know from what limited government admissions were made exactly what Beijing is capable of. Whether what Trump said is the exact or entire truth, or timed to influence the midterms, is not the point.
