WalletHub ranks San Francisco 148th out of 148 for ‘worst run’ city in America for the second year in a row

San Francisco just took home WalletHub’s “worst-run” city in America title for the second year in a row—which is hardly surprising, considering this is the place where you download a “poop map” before braving the city sidewalks, open-air drug markets and dirty tents fill the formerly clean Tenderloin district, and a walking tour with a sardonic sales pitch sold out weeks in advance—participants were promised an intimate experience with the urban decay of the “progressive” city, and offered the chance to “get close and personal with the Doom and Squalor of downtown San Francisco.”

AGAR: Yonge-Dundas Square renaming proves council isn’t listening

Give Toronto city council credit for its stunning honesty.

Elected officials often at least pretend to be listening to the people and doing what is best for the community. When change was in the wind, they would “listen to the people” and “meet with stakeholders” and hire an outrageously compensated consultant or three to tell them what they wanted to hear. Then they would go ahead and do what they wanted to do in the first place.

The wackos on council with Chairman Chow sent a message: We despise Canada, its heritage and White people.

That’s what this whole exercise was about.

They will run Toronto into the ground.

Why hundreds of thousands of people are leaving the city for other parts of Canada

Toronto once reliably lost about 20,000 more people to other cities in Canada than it lured in from around the country. But in 2017, that number doubled to 40,000. And then it doubled again. In the past two years, 220,000 more Canadians have abandoned Ontario’s capital than arrived.

The majority of these Toronto expats have moved to other areas within Ontario including Oshawa, Hamilton, the Niagara Region and London, according to Statistics Canada’s domestic migration data. They’re also calling Calgary, Edmonton and Halifax home.

It’s a trend that’s worrying Toronto officials and economists who fear the city’s middle class is disappearing.

WHITE FLIGHT

I believe “Middle Class” should be read as “White Flight” for the purposes of this article .

Toronto is clearly on the downside and this article confirms what I have suspected was occurring, the city is being hollowed out.

Toronto’s demise is being accelerated by mass immigration from incompatible cultures which in turn causes overburdened services and housing unaffordability contributing to the city’s declining quality of life.

The city has long been both magnet and dumping ground for Trudeau’s destructive immigration policy which has imposed an unwanted cultural shift alienating to longtime residents.

TO’s situation is exasperated by its bizarre leftist government which is more concerned with celebrating perversion and insulting Canada’s heritage than actually fixing what’s wrong with this incipient dumpster fire.

I won’t mention the rising crime rate or the many imported ethnic and religious conflicts being played out in our streets because that would be racist.

But that won’t stop city hall from raising taxes and offering less and less in return every year.

People see the writing on the wall, they see the ghettoization of Toronto neighborhoods and the GTA in general.

They see that indoctrination has replaced education in the city’s schools.

They know the city becomes less safe with each passing day and they know they are not welcome in multicultural Toronto.

Chow’s election may come to be regarded as the watershed moment signaling the beginning of Toronto’s irreversible decline.

Viva diversity.

San Francisco man gets ticket from city to clean up the mess the smash-and-grab robbers made of his shop

Leftists have always been loud and ostentatious about how they’re all about compassion.

So residents of San Francisco, living in a blue city with few cops and little law enforcement, could probably be forgiven for thinking that as crime victims, they could count on at least some compassion after another round of violent crimes.

Don’t be silly. In San Francisco, victims of major crimes get tickets.

FBI Raids Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao

Bay Area and state government have been a target-rich environment for decades.

On June 20, the FBI raided the home of Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, carting away boxes of material. The purpose of the raid wasn’t clear, but it may have had something to do with Oakland’s recycler, California Waste Solutions, whose offices were also searched, along with the homes of CWS owners David and Andy Duong.

On June 24, Mayor Thao proclaimed her innocence and blamed the raid on “right-wing forces.” In a city home to the Black Panther Museum, and with UC Berkeley close at hand, that claim had locals wondering whom Oakland’s Democrat mayor had in mind. The raid on the mayor’s home wasn’t the FBI’s first Bay Area bust, and the state has been a target-rich environment for decades.

This city defunded its police. As vigilantes roam, now it’s changing course

Portland appeared to be living the liberal dream. Set beneath the snow-capped Mount Hood, beside the Columbia river, the thriving West Coast city was home to big business like Nike and Adidas, and famed for its art, food and youthful left-wing culture.

In the summer of 2020, when much of America rose up in protest against the killing of George Floyd, the city reacted with three big changes. The police force was defunded to the tune of $15 million. The top prosecutor adopted the prevailing philosophy of refusing to press charges for low-level crime. And in 2021, Oregon decriminalised most drug possession, becoming the first state in the US to do so.

California has surrendered its streets to assholes

Too much tolerance is destroying the peace

I have always felt a white-hot hatred for those Harley clowns, in their clown costumes, who gratuitously rev their stone-age V-twin engines as you sit outdoors trying to have a conversation. The only proper response, I believe, would be for some good Samaritan with a baseball bat to walk up and test the efficacy of those little Nazi hats they call helmets.

The new thing is modern V8 muscle cars (Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs and Camaros) with exhaust cut-outs. They are deafening, and they are everywhere where I live in San Jose (which is not one of the genteel areas). They are also illegal, of course, but we no longer enforce laws in California. Nor, apparently, in New York. For those not satisfied with inflicting low-level hearing loss, a special Platinum Asshole feature is available on the aftermarket. It alters the engine’s spark and fuel map to deliberately induce explosive backfires that sound like a 12-gauge shotgun at close range.

Fourth teen girl pleads guilty to manslaughter in death of Toronto homeless man

TORONTO — A fourth teen accused in the fatal stabbing of a Toronto homeless man has pleaded guilty.

The girl, who was 14 at the time of the incident, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of 59-year-old Kenneth Lee.

Police have alleged that Lee, who was living in the city’s shelter system, died after he was swarmed and stabbed by a group of girls in December 2022.

Is Oakland the Worst City in the USA? Mayor’s House Raided by FBI

At least four houses in Oakland were raided by the FBI on Thursday morning with one of the residences belonging to Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao.

One other house was identified as belonging to Andy Duong, a member of a family that owns Cal Waste Solutions. Cal Waste Solutions has been investigated over campaign contributions to Thao and other elected city officials. That was back in 2020.

America’s worst-run city is revealed …

San Francisco has ranked as America’s worst-run city, thanks to its looming $1.4 billion budget deficit and social problems from homelessness to crime and cash-strapped public schools.

Researchers at WalletHub found that San Francisco was the worst-managed of all the 148 major cities assessed in its report, in a damning indictment of the administration of Mayor London Breed.

The personal finance website ranked other big-name cities among the lowest-performing ten.

How California became a warning to the world

A new dominant class of oligarchs and woke bureaucrats has bled the Golden State dry.

For generations, California has led the world in creating cutting-edge ideas and opportunities for newcomers. As actor-turned-governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger once said:

‘We are the modern equivalent of the ancient city-states of Athens and Sparta… Not only can we lead California into the future… we can show the nation and the world how to get there.’

Today, the Golden State once again foreshadows the future, but this time it should be read as a warning.

Chicago’s progressive mayor Brandon Johnson spent $30,000 on MAKEUP during his first year in office

Lookin good for looting season

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson managed to burn through $30,000 on personal grooming in one year, with most of the money being spent on makeup.

To pay for makeup and hair appointments, Johnson used the money his supporters contributed to his Friends of Brandon Johnson campaign fund.

Most of the $30,000 went to Denise Milloy, a makeup artist and self-professed ‘skincare enthusiast’ who operates on the south side of the city.

Downtown decline: Is Vancouver on the brink of becoming a retail dead zone?

Some downtown businesses fed up with vandals and thieves are considering moving on. What can be done about it?

… The chaos “makes operating very, very difficult,” said owner Sunan Spriggs, who started the shop in 2016 and has since added a Toronto location.

Spriggs attributes the crime and vandalism — which her store has dealt with constantly as well — to the nearby overdose prevention site and too many damaged and desperate souls on the streets. “When you have users, you have low-level drug dealers, and the users have to afford their habit.”

Ontario warns Toronto to drop effort to turn city into an Open Air Drug Den with misguided drug decriminalization request

Ontario’s Minister of Health, Sylvia Jones, is warning Toronto’s medical officer of health to drop her request for a B.C.-style exemption from federal laws to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of hard drugs in the city, saying if she fails to rescind its application, the province will be forced to act.

In a terse letter sent on Friday to Toronto Medical Officer of Health Eileen de Villa, Ms. Jones also says that after a review of supervised drug consumption sites, prompted by a fatal shooting outside one such facility in Toronto’s Leslieville area, she plans to bring in unspecified “enhanced accountability measures” for these sites “to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the public is protected.”

Progressives love it when junkies litter the sidewalk.
