“Progressive Paradise”

Outgoing NY Governor Andrew Cuomo has been blasted by victims’ groups for commuting the murder sentence of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin’s dad over an armored car robbery that killed three.

Cuomo announced Monday evening that he was commuting the prison sentences of David Gilbert, 76, Greg Mingo, 68, Robert Ehrenberg, 62, Ulysses Boyd, 66, and Paul Clark, 59.

All five have murder convictions, with Gilbert – Boudin’s father – the only killer still incarcerated with no possibility of parole over a deadly 1981 hold-up of a Brinks cash truck, that left a security guard and two cops dead.

The Castro regime has never lacked useful idiots among the American Left.

“We, the undersigned, are making this urgent, public appeal to you [President Biden] to reject the cruel policies put into place by the Trump White House that have created so much suffering among the Cuban people.”

San Francisco’s broad daylight retail heists have shocked the nation in their brazenness. They’ve triggered the closings of stores, such as Walgreens, and the shortening of hours from retail giants such as Target. Forty-four percent of the city is planning to move out, with 80% citing out-of-control crime.

But the shoplifters have got a defender, too — in San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin. So do the drug dealers. The only problems that Chesa sees are the victims.

I don’t need to be convinced of the obvious, that the Marxists are staging a counter-revolution in our Republic. I say “counter-revolution” because the Marxist goal is to overthrow the successful revolution staged by our founders almost two and a half centuries ago. And the enemy is not just “at the gate”; they are, in fact, on the cusp of winning the ultimate prize: total domination of the United States of America.

There has been a chilling avatar in the sky here in Boston and all along the northern swath of the U.S.. The midday sun has been turned red and the sky filled with a foul haze due to the huge wild fires out west. They (you know who they are) try to blame it on climate change whereas the real cause is the ignorant, emotionally infantile management of forestry that has held sway as Progressives have assumed the arrogant position that they can control everything – including nature. They have put out and suppressed the small brush fires so long that there is now enough fuel built up to incinerate the trees and the soil itself. This is the perfect metaphor for what is happening to our politics. The whole January 6th inquisition and the destruction of civic order and republican balance of the last year are burning off the very soil in which the republic is rooted. There is indeed a red sun rising.

Two men casually walked out of a Los Angeles area TJ Maxx with their arms full of what appears to be stolen goods as brazen shoplifters continue to rampage through California retail stores.

Viral video posted earlier this week shows two men carrying armfuls of jeans, jackets and other apparel as they casually saunter out of a TJ Maxx in the Granada Hills section of the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles.

‘That looks great,’ one man is heard saying in the video as the two men head toward the door with the stolen loot, making no haste as they leave.

A couple of weeks ago, in a lengthy piece at the Weekly Dish, Andrew Sullivan lamented about the “radicalization of the American elite against liberalism.”  While this appears so to Sullivan’s eyes, this radicalization doesn’t much involve conversions.  It’s not as if card-carrying liberals suddenly became card-carrying leftists of varying stripes.  Fellow travelers and quislings there are, but that’s always the case with movements. 

PORTLAND, Ore. — No state is more emblematic of deepening political and cultural divisions in America than Oregon, where a movement is underway in the state’s more conservative southern and eastern counties to break away from the radically leftist urban centers in the northwest and become part of an enlarged Idaho.

Portland Police – what’s left of them – report that eight people were shot overnight in a mass shooting in downtown Portland. Portland Police reported that one of the victims had life-threatening injuries. No one died in the shooting. No arrests have been made.
