Chicago‘s Steppenwolf Theatre Company Announces Layoffs as Audience Craters — Leaders Embraced DEI, Trans Pronouns

Chicago’s famed Steppenwolf Theatre Company is the latest major performing arts institution to report plummeting ticket sales and layoffs, with more than ten percent of employees set to lose their jobs. Leaders are blaming soaring operating costs due to inflation and a slower-than-expected “post-pandemic” economy.

‘Too Much Narcissism, Not Enough Maturity’: Why Some Employers Are Wary of Hiring People Who List Their ‘Pronouns’ on Resumes

‘The accidental misgendering, the time off work to get your mastectomy, the recovery time from it, the sort of constant name changes’ are taxing, a Bay Area restaurant owner says.

Are employers hesitant to hire people who identify as transgender or nonbinary? As transgender rights issues dominate the headlines, that is a question being hotly debated on social media.

Several large right wing and gender-critical left wing accounts on X posted screenshots this week of answers to a Quora post asking, “Why won’t anybody hire me because I’m a transgender?” In internet fashion, many of the posts to X were intentionally provocative, calling pronouns “the biggest red flag” or saying that they would “never hire” people with pronouns on their resumes.

Canada’s conservatives fight back against progressive school policies

An obviously aroused Justin Trudeau abandons decorum while prancing about at a Gay Pride event.

Education has become the new focal point for the country’s culture wars

Conservative and civil libertarian voices have long been stymied by Canada’s indifferent public and politicians. This provided cover for elites to run wild in schools and institutions. But now that era is coming to an end.

Canada’s woke nightmare: A warning to the West

Canada’s woke nightmare: A warning to the West

Under Justin Trudeau, Canada has sought to position itself as the global bastion of progressive politics. In my latest Telegraph documentary, seen above, I went to the former British colony to find out how Canadians are dealing with Trudeau’s radical reforms; from the promotion of gender ideology in schools and the mass legalisation of drugs, to his extreme new suicide laws and clamp downs on freedom of speech.

I began my investigation in one of the country’s most liberal cities, Vancouver. Possession of up to 2.5 grams of hard drugs, including heroin, cocaine and fentanyl, has been legalised in the city as part of a three year experiment which began in January of this year. If the aim was to combat the opioid crisis that already beset the city then it appears there is still much to be done as vast tent sites line the streets, patrolled by roaming zombie-like drug addicts.

Welcome to Ireland, the ‘Woke’ Capital of Europe

‘Wokeness’ was created in the United States, then swiftly exported to the rest of the Western world. In Ireland, a country with close ancestral ties to the U.S., ‘wokeness’ now reigns supreme. In fact, it’s safe to say that Ireland is the official ‘woke’ capital of Europe.

If you doubt this, let me point you in the direction of the country’s new draft curriculum for 15- to 18-year-olds. As first reported by Gript, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA), the Irish education ministry’s advisory council, has recommended the introduction of classes that center around white privilege, male privilege, gender identity, and sexual diversity.

Fat Bottomed Girls cut from Queen’s greatest hits to appease younger audience

Suggestive 1978 hit single considered by Universal Music Group to be too raunchy

Queen’s Fat Bottomed Girls has been dropped from a greatest hits compilation targeted at younger listeners.

The suggestive 1978 single in praise of “dirty ladies” with fuller figures was a chart success and featured on previous selections of favourite tracks by the glam rock band.

However, a new compilation of Queen hits released by Universal Music for a younger market does not feature the Fat Bottom Girls and its lyrics celebrating the beauty of a “heap big woman”.

Woke white air force colonel who claimed other white colonels were racists gets promoted to brigadier general

The Pentagon has gone to great ends to hide its wokery whenever it gets caught.

They’ve shut down drag shows on U.S. military bases. They’ve kicked openly white-hating wokesters teaching military kids upstairs to other things. They’ve taken down their Pride Month flags and tweets. They’ve changed course on hunting for “extremists” in the ranks when news emerged that they missed actual miscreants under their noses. They’ve investigated dog-sex officer pervert rings that had been going on for a long time in Hawaii. They’ve also denied, in testimony to Congress at appropriations time, that they are wokesters.

The decline and fall of ‘Woke’

Wokeness, once a badge of pride, has become a symbol of shame .Israel is always a few steps behind the US but Israeli left-take note!

Walking into the children’s section of a public library, I spotted a copy of ‘Woke: A Young Poet’s Call to Justice’’. Published in 2020, it’s almost a cultural artifact because ‘woke’ has gone from a hip term for leftism to a battered conservative punching bag in the culture war.

‘Woke’, the term, peaked in 2020. In 2017, it was added to the Oxford English Dictionary and appeared as a category on Jeopardy. Next year, Essence magazine announced its list of ‘Woke 100 Women’. In 2020, Disney’s Hulu aired ‘Woke’:, a tedious series about a college activist.

No One Sanctioned for Royal Air Force’s Discrimination Against White Men

There have been no repercussions against any officers or top brass after Britain’s Royal Air Force was exposed as having violated equality laws by actively discriminating against white men in favour of women and ethnic minorities.

No sanctions have been levied for breaches of equality legislation after a whistleblower revealed last year that the Royal Air Force (RAF) had discriminated against prospective candidates if they were white men — who were branded as “useless white male pilots” — in a bid to increase diversity within the ranks of the military in the two years leading up to March of 2021.

Chicago’s Mayor Johnson scolds reporter for calling mass looters a ‘mob,’ says ‘large gathering’ is ‘appropriate’

Brandon Johnson – Looting Enthusiast

I don’t know which is more discouraging: that the mayor of Chicago actually tried this verbal flim-flammery or that the assembled media at his press conference didn’t erupt in laughter at his attempt to blackwash rampaging looters. He thought he could get away with it, and so far as one can see, he did.

Jamie Sarkonak: National Gallery trades historic accuracy for diversity

In the 19th century, Canada was dependent on Britain for law, arts and culture. But as Canadian society grew, so did its capacity in the arts. A milestone in Canadian national identity was reached in the 1920s, with the introduction of an art movement spearheaded by the landscape painters later known as the Group of Seven.

Climate cult’s crazed attack on white men

ADDRESSING a rally last weekend to protest against plans for a camp for 1,000-plus male Channel-crossing migrants to be sited in Bexhill-on-Sea,  I noticed a subtle but significant change in the placards of the usual small gathering of counter-protesters. Instead of ‘refugees welcome here’, the new slogan of the self-declared anti-racists was ‘climate refugees welcome’ (my italics). The purported climate crisis and progressive ideology of identity politics have come together in this latest onslaught on traditional society.

The Semantic Burden of Speaking While White

As yet another racial etiquette study shows, it’s getting harder to talk about race.

As I read in the Guardian, an operation called “Reframing Race” has accepted as its mission the task of teaching people, white people in particular, the semantic niceties of racial etiquette.

Some of the stuff we have heard before, such as the need to avoid words that associate whiteness with purity or cleanliness and blackness with evil and destruction. But the reframing regime goes deeper. One particular paragraph in the Guardian caught my attention:

Other recommendations include avoiding the phrase “white working class” and rather using “multi-ethnic working class” or “working-class people of all ethnicities” because the use of the former wrongly excludes black and minoritised people from the class group.
