In the days before Donald Trump’s July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the Secret Service needed a member of his protective detail to develop a security plan to keep the former president safe as he addressed a crowd of thousands at an open-air fairground.
With agents stretched thin by the presidential campaign, the agency turned to a “junior” member of the detail, according to an independent review panel commissioned by the Department of Homeland Security.

Change isn’t necessarily positive. In recent decades, slowly and then rapidly, the culture of North America and beyond, has descended into a progressive wasteland of self-serving, often racist, and increasingly nasty intolerance. Universities, corporations, and governments have initiated Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) plans that exclude those arbitrarily deemed favoured, often characterized as settlers and colonialists.

And stand with our friends in Israel against terror.” The statement included a link to an interview he gave to the Winnipeg Jewish Review, in which he said he would “defund … all those with a woke antisemitic agenda,” including universities.
The recent spectacular and decisive presidential election victory by Donald Trump — a self-styled benevolent “dictator” swept to power with an unequivocal mandate from U.S. voters — has become what can only be described as a political tsunami for left-leaning observers.
Vast change is in the offing. The political tectonic plates have shifted, prompting shattering eruptions along a number of predictable fault lines.

A leading official pushed back just a little against the reigning orthodoxies of our time and said: Hey, wait a minute. For that, he deserves not just our thanks but our cheers. According to a Nov. 15 Pentagon press release, Biden promoted Army Cols. Peter L. Gilbert and Antwan L. Dunmyer to the rank of brigadier general. Gilbert served as commander of the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command at Fort Liberty (formerly known as Fort Bragg) in North Carolina, while Dunmyer served as the deputy commander of operations for the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
