Does the jihadist threat to the West still exist?

Despite media indifference, Islamic terrorism continues apace in Europe and the U.S., not just against Israel.

Has the jihadist threat become run-of-the-mill? Has it just disappeared?

You might think either of these to be the case, given how little the media—particularly, the U.S. media—seems to make of it anymore. Arrests of terror cells, the disruptions of plans of attack, shootings and stabbings, particularly in Europe, all go little reported and are frequently entirely ignored these days by the U.S. press.

The Horror of Being Christian in Muslim Pakistan: Just One Month

The persecution of Christians in Pakistan — whether at the hands of judges and police, or mobs and rapist gangs — continues to worsen, as evidenced by one fully documented month, that of May 2023.

On May 30, for instance, a Pakistani court sentenced Noman Masih, a 22-year-old Christian man, to death for “blasphemy” (in keeping with Pakistan’s blasphemy statutes, Section 295-C of the Penal Code, which calls for the death penalty for anyone convicted of insulting Muhammad, the prophet of Islam).

Afghan women’s lives ‘better’ under my rule, says Taliban’s supreme leader

Taliban’s supreme leader says women’s lives in Afghanistan have been ‘bettered’ by his rule and the end of the 20-year occupation’s “mistakes” around the hijab.

In a statement marking this week’s Eid al-Adha holiday, Hibatullah Akhundzada – who rarely appears in public and rules by decree from the Taliban’s birthplace in Kandahar – said steps had been taken to provide women with a “comfortable and prosperous life according to Islamic Sharia”.

Ontario school board’s anti-Islamophobia strategy questioned after Muslim student singled out

An Ontario father is questioning the legitimacy of a school board’s anti-Islamophobia strategy months after his son was singled out by a teacher during a lesson that featured racist cartoons.

During the January class, the high school teacher in Peel Region, which includes the Toronto-area cities of Mississauga and Brampton, showed two caricatures from the controversial French magazine Charlie Hebdo to international baccalaureate students as part of a module on censorship.

Without addressing the stereotypical nature of the cartoons — which targeted Muslim, Jewish and Black communities — the teacher discussed the 2015 Charlie Hebdo massacre in which the magazine’s offices were attacked by two Al-Qaeda-linked members who killed 12 people.

How Obama’s Muslim Childhood Became a Taboo Topic

Reflections on when a gigantic biographical inconvenience was successfully hidden and denied.

Americans have an abiding fascination with their presidents, especially with their foibles and secrets. Who lied? Who ordered illegal operations? Who had mistresses?

Thus was the country transfixed by Bill Clinton, Monica Lewinsky, and the tawdry drip-drip of their liaison. When newly declassified documents revealed hitherto unknown CIA connections to Lee Harvey Oswald, this made a media splash, with Tucker Carlson asking: “Did the CIA have a hand in the murder of John F. Kennedy?”

Secularism will not survive the demographic change in France – nor in Europe

In reality it is a question of the invasion of one civilization into the territory of another, transforming the face of its culture.

Guillaume Cuchet, who teaches at the Sorbonne and is the author of key books on religion including “How our world has ceased to be Christian” (Seuil), tells La Vie about the end of this world:

“The rise of Islam (from 8 to 11 per cent, plus 37 per cent in 12 years), the collapse of Catholicism (from 43 to 25 per cent) and the rise of atheists (from 45 to 53 per cent hundred). If we extend the curves, we can clearly see the landscape that will prevail. In these conditions, if nothing changes, it is not impossible that Catholicism will become, one day not so far off, the second, even the third religion. What yesterday was unimaginable or considered a school hypothesis has become possible, indeed probable, and tomorrow will be certain”.

Iranian Bio-Bomber Convicted in German Court

German judge said they had enough castor beans to produce ricin capable of killing as many as 13,500 people. It is the second such case in Germany in recent years.

Earlier this year in January, two brothers were arrested by German police following a raid on their home in the town of Castrop-Rauxel near the city of Dortmund, as police asserted that the two Iranian nationals were radical Islamic extremists plotting a mass casualty terrorist attack.

Now, five months following their arrest, the Düsseldorf Public Prosecutor’s Office has indicted 26-year-old Jalal J., the younger of the two brothers, for plotting a terrorist attack and trying to create a biological weapon, a report from the German tabloid Bild reveals.

Muslims Chide U.S. Over Past Slavery, Ignore Islam’s Past and Present Slavery

The Council on American-Islamic Relations—which goes by the cloying acronym, CAIR—is again exposing itself for what it is: an Islamist group dedicated to “sabotaging” and “destroying the Western civilization from within.”

Following news that Fort Hood in Texas was changing its name to Fort Cavazos, CAIR exulted in a press release. Originally named after John Bell Hood (above), a Confederate general, and now named after the first Latino to become a general in the U.S. Army, CAIR endorsed the change, since, “American military bases should not be named,” preached CAIR rep, Ibrahim Hooper, after those who sought “to preserve slavery. We welcome this name change and call on all remnants of the Confederacy to be removed nationwide.”

The Yazidi woman testified at the trial and said she recognized the defendant. She traveled to Koblenz again for the verdict.

The Islamic State lives on

An IS affiliate has just murdered dozens of schoolkids in Uganda.

Another jihadist attack has shaken Uganda. Last Friday, an attack on a school claimed the lives of 41 civilians, mostly pupils. The Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) – a militia group based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that is linked to the Islamic State (IS) – is thought to be responsible. Clearly, IS lives on through its equally barbaric affiliates. Nations around the world must heed this warning and take on these groups.

The French Women’s Nightmare

Sexual harassment by “Maghrebi types.”

Migrants – which in France today means, overwhelmingly, maghrébins, or Muslim Arabs from North Africa — commit 48% of the rapes in Paris and 55% in Marseille. Muslims make up 10% of the French population, but more than 50% of the prison population. Recently, a feminist collective posted videos of French women for whom sexual harassment by “Maghrebi types” has become a common, and nightmarish, occurrence. More on their experiences can be found here: “‘It is always the Maghrebi types who follow, whistle at, and insult me’ – French women recount their experience with sexual harassment from foreigners,” by John Cody, Remix News, June 5, 2023 …

Today’s right to asylum is the road to barbarism in Europe

Retrace the philosophical evolution of the right of asylum to understand how much it has become a weapon aimed at the European peoples.

Éric Zemmour: “Today in France there are between 120 and 140 knife attacks a day! Per day! Look at the stats: in the 1960s there were 3 or 4 stabbings every two years. This is a change of population”.

French Senator Valérie Boyer reported 44,000 knife attacks in two years.

And now even Emmanuel Macron evokes “decivilization”.

A few days ago in Annecy, a wandering and disoriented man from Syria terrorized a park by stabbing several children. An asylum seeker who was first received as such in Sweden ten years ago, and claimed the right to protection in Europe, where he has committed the worst acts of barbarism.
