A GUNMAN who killed six people in a shooting rampage at a mother-and-child home over a custody dispute is allegedly a paedophile prison escapee.
Fatih Gazioglu, 45, is accused of opening fire at a facility where his child and the boy’s mum reportedly lived at in Stade, Germany.
German police are preparing for one of the largest security operations in Thuringia’s history ahead of the Alternative für Deutschland’s (AfD) federal party congress in Erfurt this weekend after an internal threat assessment warning of an elevated risk of violence.
The assessment, obtained by Apollo News, states that police expect most protesters to come from left-wing organisations, civil society groups, and trade unions.

Alternative für Deutschland’s (AfD) Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state parliament member Michael Meister was brutally attacked outside his private residence in Rostock on Wednesday night, in what is being investigated as a politically motivated assault by suspected left-wing extremists.
Meister said he first felt “pressure in his back” and believes one of the attackers attempted to stab him from behind. The blow was reportedly stopped by a laptop inside his backpack. The AfD politician nevertheless sustained several injuries during the attack, including a “cut to his left arm,” a kick to his leg, and “at least one punch to the face.”
