This story could have been ripped straight out of a political thriller. But it’s not fiction; it’s one of the strangest, most revealing twists yet in the never-ending saga of how far some corners of the government were evidently willing to go to weaponize their authority against Donald Trump.

James Comey’s legal troubles just got a whole lot worse.

In September, James Comey was indicted on charges of making false statements and obstruction of justice. Comey claims he’s the victim of malicious prosecution, and Democrats are out in full force claiming that this is part of Trump’s “revenge,” but newly filed evidence that Just the News obtained is quite damning. Prosecutors have revealed what looks like a smoking gun: Comey’s own words showing that he wasn’t merely aware his top aides were leaking to the press; he was actively congratulating them for it.

Nearly half a dozen foreign charities have dumped more than a billion dollars into numerous U.S.-based leftist organizations and causes in recent years, according to a new investigative report.

Released on Friday, the new analysis by Americans for Public Trust (APT) shows how five overseas charities have collectively funneled almost $2 billion into left-wing groups, policy fights, and more “to advance their extreme, foreign, activist agenda” in America. These causes, according to the report, range from funding climate alarmist demonstrations and campaigns to environmental-related litigation.

This was a bad week for the bad guys who wanted to kill or maim Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in two raids last summer. There are now more of them in custody and looking for lawyers.

Over the past few days, federal officers have rolled up key bad guys who were involved in ambushing ICE and other federal officers during two notorious raids—one in California and one in Texas—and in the violent attack on state patrol officers during the latest L.A. ICE riots. One involved an Antifa perpetrator, and the other involved angry activists who were called to riot at the site of a notorious pot farm raid by using phone apps to vector them to the scene.

Department of Justice Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche fired off a warning letter to several prominent California Democrats, noting that recent threats to arrest federal ICE agents could prompt an investigation and prosecution.

The letter came in response to Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (CA-11) public suggestion that local or state police could detain ICE agents if they are found to have violated state laws.

The House Judiciary Committee referred former CIA Director John Brennan to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution on Tuesday over allegations that he “knowingly made false statements” to Congress about his role in the Russia collusion hoax.

In the letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi obtained by The Federalist, Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, argued that “Brennan made numerous willfully and intentionally false statements of material fact contradicted by the record established by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) and the CIA.
