Riots have become an all-too-familiar sight on American television screens. The country seems constantly braced for radical extremism disguised as “peaceful protests.” The images of car burnings and “F*ck ICE” graffiti coming out of Los Angeles last week are only the latest. Unfortunately, these incidents are so similar to the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, that California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom tried to score some pathetic political points by correcting someone who mixed up a video from 2020 with a current video. In the five years since the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, California is still stuck in its fiery, lawless ways.

Donald Trump has ordered an immigration crackdown on “third world” liberal cities as he ramps up his efforts to carry out the “largest mass deportation program in history”.

The US president said he would “expand efforts to detain and deport illegal aliens in America’s largest cities”, including Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

Writing on Truth Social, the Republican leader, 79, called the blue cities a “Democrat power centre” and said he wanted ICE to focus on “places where sanctuary cities play such a big role”.

The summer of 2025 has not yet officially begun, but it already looks like another long, hot one. Los Angeles has faced days of anti-ICE protests and rioting, which have spread to dozens of other cities, provoking clashes with local, state, and federal law enforcement. The burning cars and mask-clad demonstrators are disturbingly reminiscent of the riots for “racial justice” in the summer of 2020 and for “Palestine” in 2024. The cause changes; the personnel and methods remain the same.

In the midst of the riots that have raged across Los Angeles in response to the Trump administration’s raid to apprehend criminals, Mexican flags have emerged as a prominent emblem of the rioters’ lawless defiance.

While the New York Times gushed that the rioters’ usage of the flag represented “pride in their heritage,” most Americans saw it for what it was: a symbol of conquest. But many leftists are now making that very argument, that it represents a reclamation by Mexico of land supposedly “stolen” by the United States.

The new dominant form of organized crime has shown its face in Los Angeles in recent days. Though it comes under the banner of “protest” and is whitewashed in the media as “mostly peaceful” and presumed spontaneous, a close observer can see that it is none of these things. It is in fact the result of a calculated civil terrorism movement taking advantage of Americans’ reluctance to treat criminals as criminals.

This is in Tucson before it became a riot. These aren’t protests against ice or for illegals. Listen to the chants. These are marxists. It’s about taking down America. They’ll use any vehicle to try to achieve this.

A Big Apple mom was filmed begging anti-ICE protesters to let her get to her job as they blocked traffic Tuesday — just for one to admit he didn’t care while sarcastically mocking her.

Just watched 2 white liberals stop traffic and tell a mother who was begging to go to work, that illegals and their children are more important.

I then asked them how they felt stopping a black woman from getting to work

After a day and a half of rioting in Los Angeles County, President Donald Trump activated the National Guard to protect federal officers and property. The riots were triggered by ICE’s attempts on Friday, June 6, to arrest a few dozen illegal aliens.

The president’s mobilization order, signed on Saturday, June 7, was clarifying and precise: “To the extent that protests or acts of violence directly inhibit the execution of the laws, they constitute a form of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States.”

Can someone please explain to me how ON EARTH it possible for someone in LA to riot for 5 straight days?
