Unlawful assembly declared in downtown LA as 5th Column foments insurrection

Protests against immigration raids in Los Angeles escalated on Sunday as US President Donald Trump called to “bring in the troops”.

Rising unrest saw a major freeway blocked and a row of self-driving cars set on fire as law enforcement used tear gas, rubber bullets and flash bangs to control the crowd.

Police called downtown LA an “unlawful assembly” area at 23:15 local time on Sunday (07:15 BST on Monday) after three days of protests and dozens of arrests.

‘The US was our El Dorado’: Africans on Trump’s travel bans and taxes

When Essi Farida Geraldo, a Lomé-based architect, heard about partial restrictions on travel to the US from Togo as part of the travel bans announced by Donald Trump on Thursday, she lamented losing access to what many young Togolese consider to be a land of better opportunities.

“The United States was the Togolese’s El Dorado,” Geraldo said. “Many people go to work in the US to save money and support their families or projects in Africa … This will force the country to really develop stronger partnerships that exclude the US.”

Trump’s order, which is to come into effect on Monday, prohibits people from seven African countries – Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Libya, Somalia and Sudan – from entering the US, making Africa the worst-affected continent. People from another three African countries – Burundi, Sierra Leone and Togo – will be subject to partial restrictions, meaning they will not be able to travel to the US on certain visas.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia returns to the US — but not the way his supporters wanted

MS 13 Gang Member Kilmar Garcia

For two months, Democrats have agitated on behalf of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant, alleged gang member, and suspected human trafficker whom the Trump administration deported to El Salvador. Picked up by police in Maryland in 2019, Abrego Garcia was given a deportation order on the basis of his unlawful presence in the United States and gang activity. But the immigration judge specifically ordered that Abrego Garcia not be deported to his home country of El Salvador, where Abrego Garcia claimed he would be in danger.

You Won’t Believe What the Media Is Saying About the Anti-ICE Riots

Hell is not a donut shop.

Okay, you probably will. In fact, I am sure you expected it.

By now you’ve seen footage of the anti-ICE rioting and violence going on in Los Angeles. But here’s some select footage anyway:

Despite the obvious violence and destruction, the media is once again taking a page out of the 2020 BLM riots playbook, and insisting that everything is peaceful.

Over 40 people were arrested during immigration raids and search warrant executions on Friday in downtown Los Angeles, California, amid standoffs with leftist protesters and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Trump Administration Sending National Guard to L.A. to Address Riots

The Trump administration revealed that it is sending the National Guard to Los Angeles to address the ongoing violent riots against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

In a post on X, Leavitt revealed that President Donald Trump had signed a Presidential Memorandum that deployed 2,000 National Guardsmen “to address the lawlessness that has been allowed to fester.” Leavitt continued to point out that the Trump administration “has a zero tolerance policy for criminal behavior.”

Deranged Gavin Newsom calls threats to deploy US marines in California ‘deranged’

The California governor, Gavin Newsom, called the potential deployment of US marines in his state “deranged” after the secretary of defense threatened the use of such troops amid a promise to deploy the national guard after an immigration crackdown saw police use teargas on protesters.

“The Secretary of Defense is now threatening to deploy active-duty Marines on American soil against its own citizens. This is deranged behavior,” Newsom wrote on X.

Earlier Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s controversial and hardline defense secretary, had raised the possibility of deploying US marines onto the streets of the Democrat-run state amid the protests that had erupted in the wake of Ice raids in the state.

Trump admin officials blast LA Mayor Karen Bass’ response to ICE raids — as cops clash with violent protesters

Several Trump administration officials fired back at Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass Friday after she pledged to oppose federal efforts to nab illegal immigrants — as cops in her city had to use flash bangs to disperse the violent mob of protesters who descended on the arrest sites.

“We will not stand for this,” Bass said in a statement released after federal immigration authorities arrested 44 people in raids across Los Angeles.

Is the U.S. still a ‘safe’ country for refugees?

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, tens of thousands of American citizens sought, and gained, refuge in Canada. They weren’t technically refugees – most applied for landed immigrant status – but what they were seeking was, in effect, a safe place to avoid the draft during the Vietnam War.

The official policy of Canada’s “Department of Manpower and Immigration” was not to ask about applicants’ military status; these were mostly young, educated, middle-upper-class men, after all – making them precisely the type of “desirable” immigrant seen to offer benefits to Canada.

“Conservative columnists” who expect everyone else to foot the bill for their virtue signaling are tiresome.

There are precious few actual refugees if any fleeing the US into Canada.

Along with her partner and two daughters, aged four and 14, the family first attempted to cross the bridge on 17 March.

SCOTUS Sides With Trump, Revokes Protected Status for Half a Million Aliens

The U.S. Supreme Court has just ruled to allow the Trump administration to move forward with revoking the protected status of over 500,000 illegal aliens.

The ruling, according to Fox News, was issued Friday, and rightly upholds — for now — the executive branch’s ability to revoke unconstitutional protected status for illegal aliens. Radical Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sonia Sotomayor reportedly dissented.

Over Half of Germans Would Leave the Country Over Migration and Economy

Germans have had enough of one bad government after another, and most are now looking to escape—not just from Germany, but from the entire EU.

According to a new YouGov poll published a few days ago, 31% of Germans would “definitely” emigrate if work, financial, or personal factors didn’t stand in their way. Another 27% said they would likely or very likely leave as well, while only 37% said they would likely or definitely stay in Germany even if given the chance to relocate.
