A video has emerged of a Spanish socialist politician calling to replace Spanish ‘racists’ and ‘fascists’ with migrants, vowing to ensure they would be allowed to vote only months before 60,000 migrants invaded Ceuta.

Irene Montero, the former Spanish Minister of Equality and member of the hard-left Podemos party appeared in a video from earlier this year pleading for support from ‘migrants’ and ‘people of colour.’

It says much about our current condition that sometimes the most insightful political commentary appears as satire at The Babylon Bee. Yesterday morning one of the Bee’s headlines read “To Fight Antisemitism, Mamdani Announces Mandatory ‘Safety Camps’ for Jewish Residents.” The article has Mamdani supposedly saying that the “best way to keep Jews safe is by concentrating them into tiny camps away from those who would do them harm,” with further references to transporting them by train as part of the mayor’s “final solution” to the antisemitism problem.

“ICE off our streets!” read the sign on a small wagon belonging to the man accused of firebombing 26 Federal Plaza in New York City yesterday, using what appeared to be a makeshift incendiary device consisting of gasoline and fireworks. He was also armed with numerous other weapons, including knives, a machete, and airsoft rifles, and has had prior encounters with federal authorities, officials said, without elaborating. While sole responsibility for the deed lies with the individual who carried it out, this latest act of anti-ICE terrorism is not shocking given the escalating rhetorical attacks against the immigration enforcement agency, including those coming from New York’s City Hall.

Ann Widdecombe was bludgeoned 21 times over the head with a hammer in a two-minute attack captured on camera, a court heard today.

Joshua Kerry, 28, is accused of entering the former Tory minister and Brexit Party MEP’s Dartmoor home through the open front door and murdering her as she ate lunch in her kitchen.

Kerry, who was in the dock at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, then rifled through her handbag, grabbed her wallet and fled after spending just 120 seconds inside the property, prosecutor Kashif Malik said.

A 28-year-old man from Rotherham has been charged with the murder of the former MP and Reform UK party spokesperson Ann Widdecombe.

Joshua Kerry was charged with Widdecombe’s murder and will appear at Westminster magistrates court on Tuesday, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

Widdecombe’s body was found with “serious injuries” by the ambulance service at her home in Haytor Vale, Devon, at 11.40am on Thursday 9 July.

Ann Widdecombe, a 78-year-old former Tory who crossed over to Reform before retiring, was found dead in her Dartmoor, U.K., home by police last week, about 24 hours after she stopped responding to text messages from a Channel 5 producer and failed to appear on the show remotely.

Before the messages between Widdecombe and the producer stopped, she had been in good spirits, chatting and joking.
