Spendthrift GG shuts down social media comments, citing rise in ‘violent threats’

Indian name means “Put it on the tab”

OTTAWA—Canada’s first Indigenous Governor General is reporting a rise in “violent threats” amid what her office described as increasingly racist, misogynist and abusive interactions online.

A statement posted on Gov. Gen. Mary Simon’s Twitter account says her office will no longer allow the public to comment on her social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter. This will “ensure that all those who consult our information can do so in an environment that is respectful to all,” the statement says.

Wakanda Forever borrows from Wagner Group playbook

The film’s anti-French tropes lean into Russian militia group’s propaganda

This weekend, a clip from the Hollywood film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, tweeted out by French journalist Jean Bexon, went viral. It depicts a group of rapacious French mercenaries humiliated and forced to take the knee in front of the United Nations for attempting to loot an African country’s natural resources. The country is fictional, but the parallels were clear enough for the French Minister of Defence Sébastien Lecornu to “strongly condemn this false and deceptive representation of [France’s] armed forces.”

Berlin University Tells Students Not to Call Cops on Sex Offender.

Leftism is at war with reality: women are men, men are the first female admirals and champion female swimmers, Old Joe Biden is competent, capable and coherent, drag queens are suitable entertainers for primary school children, and on and on and on. But every war has its casualties, as Leftists are learning these days at Free University in Berlin. A sex offender has been running wild and harassing women there for weeks, but the university has warned the victims not to call the police. The reason why they shouldn’t is as obvious as it is outrageous: the sex offender is a migrant, so calling the cops on him would be “racist.”

U.S. tracked China spy balloon from launch on Hainan Island along unusual path

The large Chinese surveillance device that flew across Alaska and the continental United States may have been diverted on an errant path caused by unusual weather conditions

By the time a Chinese spy balloon crossed into American airspace late last month, U.S. military and intelligence agencies had been tracking it for nearly a week, watching as it lifted off from its home base near China’s south coast, an earlier sighting of the balloon than has been previously known.

As for the rest of them… OOPS!

White House Says Mystery Objects Likely Private Craft Not Tied to Spying

“The intelligence community’s considering as a leading explanation that these could just be balloons tied to some commercial or benign purpose,” John Kirby, a spokesperson for the White House’s National Security Council, told multiple news outlets on Tuesday. Kirby further asserted that unidentified objects that were downed in Alaska, the Yukon, and over Lake Huron were not tied to spying efforts, unlike the high-altitude balloon that was shot down earlier this month over the Atlantic Ocean.

What if the Balloon people came in peace? With a cure for cancer?

Rising seas threaten ‘mass exodus on a biblical scale’, UN chief warns

An increase in the pace at which sea levels are rising threatens “a mass exodus of entire populations on a biblical scale”, the UN secretary general has warned.

The climate crisis is causing sea levels to rise faster than for 3,000 years, bringing a “torrent of trouble” to almost a billion people, from London to Los Angeles and Bangkok to Buenos Aires, António Guterres said on Tuesday. Some nations could cease to exist, drowned under the waves, he said.

Wow what an hysteric.

Heritage Ministry Testifies Its Had To Hire A Collection Agency To Recover Funds Paid To Trudeau’s Consultant For The Propagation Of Hate

The Canadian Heritage Ministry will change its contractor vetting process, it said at an inquiry Monday, after it had to cancel a contract with an organization accused of antisemitism. The contract was under the purview of the ministry’s anti-racism initiatives.

The inquiry found that other government departments had awarded multiple contracts to the same organization and that the heritage ministry has had to call in a third-party collection agency to try to get back funds already paid out for the contract.

Britain banned from deporting 53 foreign terrorists as European judges say it would breach their human rights

Murderers, bomb plotters and would-be suicide bombers are among 53 foreign terrorists whose deportation is being blocked by European human rights laws, a Mail on Sunday investigation today reveals.

In one extraordinary case, an Islamic State member from Bangladesh who was jailed for attempting to recruit new members in Birmingham has successfully blocked his deportation because he would lose access to free NHS healthcare.

Another terrorist, an Iranian who had ingredients for a bomb in his garage in Surrey, has managed to stay in Britain by claiming he suffers from depression.
