Yaniv claims MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ identity in latest BC Human Rights complaint
VANCOUVER — Transgender activist Jessica Yaniv, who was born Jonathan Yaniv and has also used the name Jessica Simpson, has filed at least one recent human rights complaint with the BC Human Rights Tribunal that explicitly claims membership in the MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ community while alleging discrimination through “existential denialism” and discriminatory publication.

Embattled former Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax killed his wife and then shot himself inside their home early Thursday in the throes of a “messy divorce,” cops said.
The 47-year-old Democrat repeatedly shot his dentist wife, Cerina Fairfax, in the basement of their Annandale home just after midnight before turning the gun on himself, according to police.
The couple’s two teenage children were inside the home at the time of the murder-suicide. Their son was the one who called 911 to report the shootings, cops said.

A controversial American YouTuber was sentenced to six months in a South Korean labor prison after he obscenely disrespected a monument honoring wartime sex slaves.
Johnny Somali, whose real name is Ramsey Khalid Ismael, was found guilty of multiple charges, including obstruction of business and distributing fabricated sexually explicit content, by the Seoul Western District Court on Wednesday.
In October 2024, Somali, 25, caused outrage when he uploaded a video of himself kissing and performing a lap dance on the Statue of Peace. The Seoul monument pays homage to the women sexually abused and trafficked during wartime.

A new German online search engine is helping people to discover if their ancestors were members of the Nazi Party.
Christian Rainer, from Austria, told the BBC he found the name of his grandfather “within a few seconds”.
“I found out that he became a member of the Nazi Party around 21st of April 1938, just a few days after the Anschluss,” when Adolf Hitler annexed Austria to Germany, he said.

Starmer and Macron to cut Trump out of Hormuz patrols
Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron are cutting Donald Trump out of plans to patrol the Strait of Hormuz once the war against Iran is over.
The two leaders are piecing together a coalition of mostly European countries in a similar alliance to the French and British-led “coalition of the willing” nations working on Ukraine.
The idea is to send mine-sweeping and other vessels to clear the shipping lane and give companies the confidence to use the strait once the fighting is finished.
But the plan risks angering the mercurial Mr Trump, who has repeatedly castigated his Nato allies for failing to join his war and threatened to reconsider membership of the alliance.
European leaders have insisted this is not their war and ignored US calls to send warships to the strait.
