Met officer tasered girl, 10, as she ran away, hearing told

A Metropolitan Police officer used a Taser on a ten-year-old girl twice inside her home as she was running away from him, a disciplinary hearing was told.

PC Jonathan Broadhead fired the device within seconds of arriving at the flat in southwest London where the girl had threatened her mother with garden shears and hit her with a hammer.

The girl, referred to as Child A, was hospitalised as a result of the incident which the officer claimed was a necessary use of force.

This is the same police force that won’t lay a hand on Hamas Supporters.

Over the Top: How a photographer faked Canada’s most iconic battlefield images.

When the Canadian exhibition of official First World War photographs travelled from Britain to North America in 1917, it was acclaimed in the press for its ability to bring the war home. The photographs felt lifelike in size and immediacy. Audience members in four Canadian cities reportedly recognized the faces of loved ones. The centrepiece of the exhibition was a huge photographic print showing Canadians bursting from a trench, bayonets raised. If audiences wanted to know what war looked like, this was it.

Donald Best is an access to justice advocate and a former Toronto Police Service sergeant who spent 63 days in solitary confinement in 2013-2014.

For the last four years, the province of Ontario has, on behalf of its citizens, confined Adam Capay alone in a small, windowless basement jail cell where the lights are always on, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. According to Renu Mandhane, chief commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission, Mr. Capay, an indigenous 24-year-old man, was kept alone. Not a single person for him to interact with, ever.

PBS Doc ‘A Town In Victoria’ Blames Mosque Arson by Latino on ‘White Supremacy,’ GOP

The latest PBS Independent Lens film program, “A Town Called Victoria,” was a three-hour report on the January 2017 firebombing of the Victoria Islamic Center mosque in the small town of Victoria, Texas. Predictably, there was a deeper left-wing political message within this documentary, part of the “Exploring Hate” series by NYC-based public television station WNET.

Tommy Robinson is charged with breaching an exclusion order after being escorted from march against antisemitism

Tommy Robinson has been charged with breaching an exclusion order after he was escorted from a march against antisemitism.

The Metropolitan Police said that the 40-year-old, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon, is accused of failing to comply with a direction to leave an area and will appear in court on January 22.

Robinson was arrested near the Royal Courts of Justice in London, from where the demonstration began on Sunday, after organisers said he would not be welcome at the event.

Number of people using Ontario food banks rose 38 per cent last year: report

TORONTO – A report released today indicates the number of people who used Ontario food banks went up 38 per cent last year, which it says is the largest single-year increase recorded by the province’s food bank network.

The new report by Feed Ontario, a collective of hunger relief organizations, says more than 800,000 people in the province turned to emergency food support between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023.

This so-called ‘trans,’ ‘non-binary’ woman is thinking about becoming Muslim

Aurora Bird (aka Birdy and) is a 20-something woman who chopped off her breasts; claims to be both “transgender” and “non-binary”; sports a weirdly epicene voice, a skimpy beard and mustache, long hair, and pretty feminine features; wears poorly applied make-up…and is seriously contemplating converting to Islam. She’s utterly pathetic and is noteworthy only because she perfectly exemplifies the damage that woke culture does to a growing number of young people.
