Three people were arrested, including two from New York, during a wild brawl that broke out at a community college graduation in Connecticut — after lax arena security failed to stomp it out.

The commencement ended in chaos when two families allegedly started throwing punches that ignited a melee during the Gateway Community College graduation ceremony at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater on Thursday.

Ford slams encampment ruling affecting Kitchener transit expansion: ‘It’s a joke’

Premier Doug Ford isn’t too pleased with an Ontario judge’s ruling about a homeless encampment in Kitchener, which has stalled a planned transit expansion.

Ontario Court Justice Michael R. Gibson said Waterloo Region would not be allowed to remove residents living at the encampment as part of a court ruling that came down Thursday.

The Ontario Superior Court has ruled that homelessness is a protected category under the Charter right to equality. I brainstormed a few ideas as to what this may look like in practice. Here's an extended example.

Failed American asylum seeker blocked from deporting himself

A failed asylum seeker has been prevented from self-deporting to the US for a second time.

Olabode Shoniregun, 28, tried to fly home to Las Vegas from Heathrow airport on May 7 – but border officials stopped him from getting on the plane.

The rejection followed his first attempt to leave the country in December, when Home Office officials declared him “unfit to fly”. At the time, officials insisted that they were “working to remove him as soon as possible”.

Grilling Outdoors in Austria? Not With Pork!

Muslims chased a group of Austrian students away because they intended to grill pork meat in the Ottakring Forest in Vienna, Exxpress reported. The group was told to leave and insulted by a group of Muslims.

The four young law students planned to spend an afternoon grilling at the popular Steinbruchwiese grilling area. The students said the atmosphere initially appeared normal despite the crowded conditions.

The visiting Kane County Cougars clobbered the Winnipeg Goldeyes earlier this week on the field, but they took a big loss Thursday morning just outside Blue Cross Park.
