Joly will make the announcement in a written statement on Sunday, according to a source with knowledge of the decision who spoke to Radio-Canada.

This development comes on the same day that former finance minister Chrystia Freeland will deliver the first speech of her campaign to become Liberal leader. Her official campaign launch is scheduled for mid-day at an event in her Toronto riding.

Recently, the amused British media discovered there was an entirely new geographical subdiscipline now available to students instead, called ‘Inhuman Geography’, whose first known professor, Kathryn Yusoff, is currently employed at the (formerly) prestigious Queen Mary University of London.

The diaries of an antisemitic British socialite who was obsessed with Adolf Hitler and struck up a personal relationship with the Nazi leader have been discovered, according to the Daily Mail.

The leather-bound journals, which had been lost to historians and unseen for eight decades, appear to reveal the extent of Unity Mitford’s relationship with the dictator.

Despite the infamous “Hitler diaries” incident, in which Sunday Times journalists were duped into publishing forged accounts, several historians believe this discovery is genuine.

The Mitford sisters would be ardent Trudeau supporters I suspect.

Sharing a few drams leads to £158,914 whisky bar bill

A bar bill of £158,914 is rather steep for 101 drams of whisky. And the tipplers celebrating at a five-star Highlands hotel didn’t even wait for Hogmanay.

The receipt posted on social media shows a guest at The Fife Arms in the Aberdeenshire village of Braemar bought the rounds of scotch, the equivalent of three-and-a-half bottles, on ­December 30.

It appears that the group was large. The receipt showed two orders for a ­15-dram round of separate whiskies. So they would have spent more than £10,000 each on an average 6.7 drams per person.

A mom who was arrested at a car wash following an altercation over $10 worth of wipes screamed out, ‘help me, I’m black’ as cops slapped handcuffs on her.

Erica LeMieux, 46, was accused of stealing the items from the Clean Express Auto Wash in Elyria last year, with bodycam footage of the incident emerging this week.

Staff called the police after the mom allegedly became aggressive and cursed at an employee.
