A Covid vaccine victim who lost the use of her hands after receiving a jab was refused compensation because she was not deemed disabled enough.
Marie-Claire Hoyle volunteered to take part in the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine trial in 2020 but just two weeks after her second jab, she developed a debilitating neurological condition.
The 44-year-old NHS nurse was diagnosed with transverse myelitis which caused agonising inflammation of the spine and left her unable to use her hands.

OTTAWA — Less than three weeks after the FBI added a fugitive accused of ordering the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, British Columbia, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, another Sikh separatist leader tied to the Nijjar case and identified as the target of a U.S. murder-for-hire plot says agents have warned him of a threat to his life ahead of a Khalistan Referendum vote in Edmonton on Sunday.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, general counsel for Sikhs For Justice, said in a statement to The Bureau that the agents came to see him in person.

Greta Gerwig’s new $280 million Narnia movie is reportedly causing a stir within Netflix after some less-than-stellar test screenings over the summer.
‘It’s 100 percent true, and everyone at Netflix thinks the movie is awful. It’s a genuine problem,’ one source told entertainment journalist Jeff Sneider this week.
The film, titled Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, is the fourth solo outing from Academy Award-nominated director Greta Gerwig. She previously headed Barbie.

Calgary police released more details on Friday about a fiery bus crash and explosion that resulted in three deaths.
Just after 1 p.m. on Thursday, a collision involving a Calgary transit bus in the city’s northeast Saddle Ridge neighbourhood led to a fire. Three people were declared dead at the scene, and 16 were injured.
The bus was travelling north in the 800 block of Saddletowne Circle N.E., toward 80th Avenue, near the neighbourhood’s fire station. Police said they believe the bus struck a truck driving in the same direction. The truck then entered an adjacent lane, sideswiped an SUV and struck the rear of a box truck.
