Three Canadian provinces have outlawed woodland access due to concerns over wildfire risk and are now threatening massive fines or jail for Canadians who violate the lockdown and who go out into nature.
The restrictions in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland are prompting calls of warning as well as acts of civil disobedience from Canadians who view the bans as a tyrannical attempt to restrict the movements of the populace, using climate change as justification.
The Israel Defense Forces killed Anas al-Sharif, who Israel says posed as a journalist for the Qatari Al Jazeera network but was actively serving as the head of a Hamas terrorist cell.
Al-Sharif, who was slain in Gaza City on Saturday, was responsible for orchestrating and advancing rocket attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops, the Israeli military said.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s grand jury transcripts will not be released, a federal judge has ruled, saying the Trump administration’s request to do so is a “diversion”.
Paul Engelmayer, a Manhattan District Court judge, suggested the Department of Justice (DOJ) had requested the transcripts be released to create the “illusion” of transparency.
The judge said the files would not reveal any new information, adding that they “do not discuss or identify any client of Epstein’s or Maxwell’s”.
In this case, Hamilton’s mayor has “directed” that a billboard with a message discussing gender and children be immediately removed.
