You won’t see food from this Canadian vegan brand after this year, as company discontinues products

Products from plant-based meal company Yves Veggie Cuisine are expected to disappear from shelves by the end of the year.

Due to “unfortunate business circumstances,” the Canadian brand officially closed on July 31, an Yves representative told the Star.

The brand sells vegan alternatives to meat products like deli meats, bacon and meatballs.

SURREY, B.C. — The cash sought by British Columbia’s high-profile Civil Forfeiture Office is relatively small in a case filed Tuesday, but the alleged crimes behind the proceeds—cross-province human trafficking, forcible confinement, procuring, and drug trafficking—point to a well-connected national network with access to cocaine from Mexican suppliers.

Gabriel Angel Osorio-Interiano, 27, a Montreal man previously charged in 2017 for a violent casino-district hotel robbery in Niagara Falls with three other young Montrealers, is now accused in Surrey of kidnapping a victim from Alberta, supplying her cocaine, and forcing her to service a client, according to Surrey Police.

Jesse Kline: Ottawa spent $1.5B and all I got was this over-priced Gem streaming service

Since it launched in 2018, CBC’s Gem streaming service has been a slap in the face to Canadians. Ottawa takes around $1.5 billion a year out of our pockets, ostensibly so the public broadcaster can provide reliable news and support the domestic film industry, but if Canadians want to watch CBC News Network without a cable package, or tax-funded programming without ads, they have to fork over an additional $5.99 a month.

We’ve seen the demonic advance throughout our culture over the past decade and more.

On Wednesday morning, the students at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis were attending a Mass in the church next to the school when, suddenly, the stained-glass windows were shattered by a hail of gunfire.

The fusillade didn’t stop immediately. Witnesses said that between 50 and 100 bullets were pumped into the church, injuring at least 15 of the students badly enough to send them to the hospital and killing an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old.

Police Scotland have warned the public not to share misinformation about an incident in Dundee involving a 12-year-old girl after online speculation was amplified by Elon Musk.

Scotland’s first minster has also accused the multibillionaire X owner of undermining community cohesion.

A 12-year-old girl was charged with being in possession of offensive weapons after an incident in which a Bulgarian couple were approached by young people in St Ann Lane, Dundee, on Saturday evening.

Damn, that was such a great meme too.

In July, 25-year-old Brit Sam Jacques had his home searched and was charged with possession of a knife—in his own home—and was fined the equivalent of about $900. The knife fit the criteria of a category called a “zombie-style knife” and was therefore illegal in the United Kingdom, even though there was no evidence of wrongdoing or evidence that Jacques had any intention to harm anyone.
