Rightwing influencer accompanied Ice agents during raids in Chicago

A rightwing influencer accompanied officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) in Chicago on Sunday as the agency ramps up arrests in the city. Ice agents arrested four people on the city’s south-west side.

Ben Bergquam, the rightwing internet personality, was with agents, filming and making content as well as getting into altercations with local residents along the way, according to a video the Guardian viewed on X. In the video, he appears to be in the car with Ice agents and nearby as they arrest people; later on he yells at a group of Chicagoans who are gathered to prevent Ice operations that they are “the enemy within”.

Because they are the enemy within.

Channel migrants in line for millions in compensation

Channel migrants are in line for millions of pounds in compensation from the Home Office for being “unlawfully” detained in “inhumane” conditions.

Almost 200 asylum seekers have lodged legal claims for their unlawful detention and mistreatment by the Home Office at the Manston migrant holding centre near Dover, citing the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

Allegations include sexual assault, physical abuse and theft of property by guards, as well as disease-ridden, dirty and cold conditions, with outbreaks of diphtheria and scabies, forcible separation of families and denial of medical aid.

Stick a fork in Britain she’s done.

Absolutely clueless Doug Ford tells unemployed young people seeking work to look harder

Young people who can’t find work aren’t looking “hard enough,” Premier Doug Ford said Tuesday, less than a week after Statistics Canada reported Ontario shed 26,000 jobs in August — the most of any province.

The remarks during a breakfast speech to the Toronto Region Board of Trade earned the premier rebukes from opposition party leaders, who accused him of being out of touch with a tough job market as U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs take a toll on the economy.

“It drives me nuts when I see young, healthy people and they’ll call me saying, ‘I can’t find a job,’” Ford told the crowd. “I assure you, if you look hard enough, it … may be in fast food or something else, but you’ll find a job.”

What a pig.

Poll: Young leftist women (that is, most young women) reject marriage and children

For people who are selfish and immature (as I was throughout my 20s), one of the best things about having children, provided you’re not insane or suffering from a personality disorder, is that it forces you to extend your world beyond your own boundaries. Suddenly, these tiny lives have needs much greater than yours, and making the world a better place extends beyond your lifespan and into your descendants’ futures.

BCF Blogger Xavier Cugat aka Sarcasticat aka XC totaled his car today.

A 16 year old girl recklessly pulled in front of him and the initial collision sent him into oncoming traffic where he met head on with another vehicle.

Quote: “Totaled my car. A 15-16 girl pulled out in front of me, hit her and went into oncoming traffic and head on another. Broken ribs, need stitches, it’s a mess.”
