Sunset Blvd Is Sparkling Clean As a Water Main Break Does What Bass Wouldn’t Do

All inevitable Los Angeles-inspired ‘pee on the sidewalks’ jokes aside, this is the sort of thing that is pretty terrifying.

A 100-year-old, 36-inch water main under storied Sunset Boulevard ruptured very early Thursday morning.

Seattle of course …

Seattle of course …

Seattle residents may no longer have to watch people engaging in lewd sexual conduct in Denny Blaine Park for All after a judge ruled that it constituted a public nuisance that substantially interfered with neighboring homeowners’ use of their properties.

The court ordered the City of Seattle to do more to deal with the issue while still allowing clothing-optional use on the lower beach area.

WTF? ‘We can just be together’: Queer couple from U.S. finds refuge after moving to Nova Scotia

It’s never easy to uproot your life, but after a year of watching U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration crack down on 2SLGBTQ+ rights, especially for transgender Americans, Grace Mahoney and her partner, Kayden Burns, decided it was time to leave the United States.

“I’m queer, my spouse is also queer and non-binary, and it started becoming a very unsafe place for us, as it is for a lot of queer humans existing in the U.S.,” she said in an interview from her new home in Dartmouth, N.S., earlier this month.

Mistrial declared for Frank Stronach’s sex assault conviction after complainant’s lawyer makes ‘bizarre’ request for money

Senior RCMP officer’s ‘no evidence’ comment about India seems to contradict past statements

Senior RCMP officer’s ‘no evidence’ comment about India seems to contradict past statements

Perhaps the most surprising part of the announcement of the joint Operation Hard Ball last week was how much the RCMP’s description of the actors involved in the killing of a Canadian Sikh activist differed from what it said only a short while ago.

“I firmly state that nothing has come out today to link the Indian government” to the operation, RCMP Deputy Commissioner Lisa Moreland told CBC’s Power & Politics.

“There’s no evidence to suggest through this organized crime investigation and the charges and the indictment laid forward that Indian officials were charged or involved
