For centuries Britain was a bastion against anti-Semitism. Now we have imported it.

It’s the fact that it happened in Britain that is so disturbing. We can no longer tell ourselves that this is a safe country, a country that elevates civic order and religious tolerance, a country that leaves anti-Semitism, along with other forms of extremism, to excitable foreigners.

Until this week, British Jews had been spared the horrors visited on their co-religionists in even our nearest neighbours. France has seen stabbings at a Marseilles synagogue, children shot in a Jewish school in Toulouse, a hostage siege in a kosher supermarket in the Île-de-France, a knife attack on a Jewish community centre in Nice and hundreds of incidents of desecration, intimidation and abuse.

Like Great Britain Canada imported Islam.

Who thought inviting a cult that hates us was good idea?

Chris Mason: Why protests have started a debate over ‘Britishness’

When a political party gathers for its annual conference, the host city (or at least the political and security bubble that surrounds the conference centre) becomes home to feverish and partisan political chat.

What is different about the next few days is Manchester is also a city in mourning after the horrific attack on Thursday.

There is, of course, still sharp political argument here but the emotional and practical backdrop is one of grief, fear and an ongoing police investigation.

This reads more like a list of reasons why multiculturalism has virtually destroyed Britain.

Stuart Williams, 36, Dean Smith, 51, and Martin Peagram, 33, were part of a “peaceful protest that descended into serious public disorder” in the Essex town on 17 July, prosecutors said.

They were “motivated by hostilities” towards asylum seekers being housed at the hotel after one was charged with two sexual assaults, Chelmsford Crown Court was told.

British Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood recently met with US secretary of homeland security Kristi Noem, a staunch ally of President Trump. By most accounts, the meeting went surprisingly well, given their political differences, as they discussed their common goal of trying to curb illegal immigration.

Mahmood, like Noem, faces significant opposition from progressive judges to deporting illegal immigrants. In the UK, the courts recently blocked a migrant from being deported under the new “one in, one out” agreement with France, marking another instance of judicial obstruction of efforts to control Britain’s borders.

You can always tell when a centrist is crapping himself: he plays the Hitler card. He goes rummaging in the darkest moment of modern times in search of an insult to fling at the person who’s put the wind up him. Witness David Lammy’s mad claim that Nigel Farage once ‘flirted with Hitler Youth’. It’s not true, of course, but it revealed a truth – that Labour is flailing like crazy in response to the threat posed by Reform UK to Keir Starmer’s government and the very foundations of British politics.

A recent news article about Britain’s National Health Service managed, in a few lines, to capture just how dire the situation is in that country and how divorced from reality its political leadership has become.

The article was about guidance the NHS published recently, “extolling the benefits of first-cousin marriage despite the increased risk of birth defects.” Defying both modern science and the traditions of western civilization, the NHS England’s Genomics Education Programme seemed to endorse incest, saying first-cousin marriage is linked to “stronger extended family support systems and economic advantages.”

Man arrested after blaze at asylum hotel

A 64-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at a London hotel housing asylum seekers.

The blaze at the Thistle City Barbican in Dingley Road, Islington, is being treated as a hate crime by investigating officers and has been condemned as a “despicable and cowardly attack”.

It happened at about 22:50 BST on Wednesday, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Donald Trump urged Keir Starmer to deploy the military to stop the Channel boats crisis breaking Britain today.

At a tense joint press conference, the US president warned that illegal immigration ‘destroys countries from within’ – as he highlighted his own success in securing America’s borders.

Determined to get a good spot on Whitehall, the woman from Liverpool had woken her nieces at 3am to travel to London. Her dedication paid off. By the time the march reached her on Saturday afternoon, she was sitting on a wall outside Downing Street, the little girls in camping chairs at her feet, engrossed in their iPads.

She had unfurled two banners. One said “Keir Starmer is a wanker” and the other read: “We’re not far right, we are England’s mothers and we will not stay silent. Stop the rape of our children, mothers across Britain are taking a stand.”

I asked her why she was there and she looked incredulous. Wasn’t it obvious? “Because Keir Starmer’s a wanker.” Why? “He’s taking our speech away.” Even though you’re allowed to sit outside his house and call him a wanker? “Well he is.”

Even Muslim countries think Britain has a problem with Islamism

Since Labour came to power, it has become clear that the battle against extremism has taken a back seat to political expediency. Labour has always had a counter-extremism problem, and after two decades of work I have done in this area which started post 7/7 under the Blair government, Labour continues to flounder in challenging Islamism in Britain.

This Government, it seems, is being straight-jacketed by Islamist loudmouths who have hijacked the public discourse space on who represents Muslims in the UK. These political extremists who have hijacked Islam continue to smear and threaten those within Muslim communities who dare to challenge their poisonous and divisive discourse. In the meantime, instead of supporting the Muslim voices who challenge Islamist organisations and their penumbra of supporters, this Government has opened its doors to these toxic groups in the mistaken belief that they are needed to placate Labour’s electoral base.
