On both Friday’s installment of Nightly News and Saturday’s edition of Today, NBC correspondents Raf Sanchez and Matt Bradley lamented that President Trump noticed footage of the mass mob of migrants that rushed into Spain on Thursday and “seized” on them as a warning of what could happen here if Democrats win in November. Additionally, both undersold just how frustrated the rest of Europe is with the government of socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

Spain attacks ‘selfish’ response of some EU countries to Ceuta migrant crossings

Spain has condemned the “selfish, polarising and unlawful” reaction of some EU countries to the influx of about 60,000 migrants from Morocco to Ceuta.

Officials say almost all those who reached the enclave on 30 July have returned, while Spain’s Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska said on Saturday that the death toll had risen to at least 67.

It comes after Italy temporarily suspended the EU’s border-free Schengen arrangement with Spain, as Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called the scenes “shocking”.

Not Just an Invasion—but Surrender

The footage from Ceuta and Melilla, Spanish enclaves in North Africa where thousands of illegal migrants have rushed past the Spanish borders, ought to be of grave concern to all patriotic or sovereignty-minded people in Europe and beyond.

The scale and pace of this mass violation of the Spanish and, therefore, of the EU border are suggestive not of what the EU prefers to term ‘irregular migration’ or of ‘humanitarian need’ but of an invasion. Despite the pleas of local officials, the Spanish state has sat back whilst tens of thousands of Moroccan residents blatantly violate all norms and laws of national sovereignty in what appears to be a coordinated attempt to render these Spanish territories unviable as Spanish.

About 60,000 migrants arrive in Ceuta in 24 hours, Spanish territory’s leader says

About 60,000 migrants have crossed into Spain’s North African territory of Ceuta from Morocco in the last 24 hours, Ceuta’s president says.

At least 34 people have died during the crossing, Juan Jesús Vivas said during a news conference.

The influx comes after Spain’s Supreme Court ruled this month that migrants stopped at sea while trying to reach Ceuta or Melilla, another Spanish exclave, cannot be summarily returned to Morocco.

Will the Commie Spanish government authorize use of force? Doubtful.

Angry locals waving Spanish flags chase migrants down the street after thousands invade enclave – as Army is called in

Furious Spaniards have been forced to chase migrants down the streets of their home after thousands of migrants flooded the enclave this afternoon.

Extraordinary footage showed huge numbers of people sprinting up beaches, swimming ashore and dispersing into the streets of the tiny Spanish territory of Ceuta, which borders Morocco, with some shouting ‘Long live Spain’.

Crowds, which officials estimated to have been made up of 20,000 people, were seen swimming out to bypass a long border fence that juts out into the Mediterranean on the Moroccan side, before swimming back on the Spanish side.

CEUTA, Spain (AP) — Authorities in Ceuta asked the government in Madrid to declare a national emergency and requested army intervention, as thousands crossed into the tiny Spanish territory.

Videos shot at Tarajal beach showed crowds of people, mainly Moroccans, walking around the breakwaters and running on the beach and roads. While the majority appear to be young men, there were also families with women and children. “Viva España!” some shouted to a freelance photographer working for The Associated Press filming the scene.

Madrid’s regional parliament has passed what is being called the ‘conceived unborn child’ law. As soon as a pregnancy is medically accredited it will count in determining a family’s eligibility for certain benefits. After the fourteenth week of the pregnancy, if this is their third child, families will be able to access additional benefits such as discounts on public transport, grants and other subsidies. If the pregnancy is lost, families will not have to repay the benefits already received.

Sovereignty of the Falkland Islands “rests with the UK”, Downing Street has said, following a report the US could review its position on Britain’s claim to the territory.

An internal Pentagon email reported by Reuters suggested the US was considering options to punish Nato allies it believed failed to support its war on Iran.

The options discussed also included seeking Spain’s suspension from Nato over its opposition to war.

Asked about the report, a No 10 spokesman said: “The Falkland Islands have hugely voted overwhelmingly in favour of remaining a UK overseas territory, and we’ve always stood behind the islanders’ right to self-determination and the fact that sovereignty rests with the UK.”

Between corruption and radicalization, Spain’s government seems to be spinning out of control.

In 1936, Spain plunged into civil war. A proud nation collapsed into violence, fire, and devastation. The Spanish Civil War, which set a communist-dominated Republican left against an authoritarian nationalist right, claimed roughly half a million lives. Priests were dragged through the streets, beaten, and mutilated — ears, noses, even genitals cut off — before being shot or having their throats slit. Nuns were raped prior to execution, in cases documented across several regions. Churches were set ablaze with priests still inside. In many towns, militiamen forced clergy to drink motor oil or gasoline before burning them alive. Spain’s right wing, not to be outdone, killed just as many.

More than a decade on, the impact of that migrant crisis has yet to subside. EU countries, from Germany to the Nordics, are still struggling to integrate new arrivals and process asylum claims. Support for populist and right-wing parties has spread like wildfire across the continent.
